'What If ?': Release date, spoilers and all about Marvel's animated series on Disney+
Get set for a universe of unlimited new possibilities that arise from posing a single question. 'What If?' Marvel's first animated series flips the script on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, reimagining famous events from the films in unexpected ways.
Coming soon to Disney+, 'What If?' features a voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their roles from the Marvel Cinematic Universe including Tom Hiddleston and Chris Hemsworth. This is also Chadwick Boseman's last role officially as the actor lent his voice talents to the series.

The series will begin streaming on Disney+ on August 11, 2021.

Plot
The Marvel website describes the animated series as, "Space. Time. Reality. It's more than a linear path." The series focuses on different heroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and flips the script in such a way that famous events from the films are reimagined in unexpected ways.
Cast
Hayley Atwell
Hayley Atwell's big break came in the series 'The Line Of Beauty' about a young man who becomes attached to a family that's not his own and he casts himself into a life of plentiful riches. She then went onto star in Woody Allen's 'Cassandra's Dream' which centers around the tale of two brothers with serious financial woes. When they turn to crime, things go badly and the two become enemies. Atwell also starred in films such as 'The Duchess'. However, her breakthrough role was as British agent Peggy Carter in 'Captain America: The First Avenger'.
Josh Brolin
Josh Brolin is an American actor who is known for his role in commercial entertainers such as 'The Goonies' and 'Men in Black 3' as well as critically acclaimed films such as 'No Country For Old Men'. Brolin of course has also played Marvel Comics supervillain Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and has starred in 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Avengers: Endgame'. He will now voice Thanos in the animated series 'What If?' as well.
Chris Hemsworth
Before catapulting to superstardom in Hollywood, Chris Hemsworth got his start with acting on the Australian soap 'Home and Away'. While Hemsworth has acted in several action-packed films such as 'Star Trek', 'Snow White and the Huntsman', 'Men in Black: International' and the comedy 'Ghostbusters', he is perhaps best known for his role as Thor in eight Marvel Cinematic Universe films, beginning with 'Thor' (2011) and most recently 'Avengers: Endgame' which established him among the world's highest-paid actors.
Tom Hiddleston
Tom Hiddleston shot to international fame playing Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe appearing in films such as 'Thor', 'The Avengers', 'Thor: The Dark World', 'Thor: Ragnarok', 'Avengers: Infinity War' and 'Avengers: Endgame'. Hiddleston recently reprised his role as Loki on the Disney+ series of the same name. However, Hiddleston's enormous success in the Marvel universe has found itself extending to other spheres as well. He starred in and was an executive producer of the limited series 'The Night Manager' for which he received two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie and Outstanding Limited Series, and won his first Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Miniseries or Television Film.
Chadwick Boseman
Chadwick Boseman's breakthrough performance was as baseball player Jackie Robinson in the biographical film '42'. He went onto portray real-life figures such as singer James Brown in 'Get on Up' and lawyer and future Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall in 'Marshal'. However, the role which shot him into another stratosphere of success was playing Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from 2016 to 2019 and Boseman was the first Black actor to headline a Marvel Cinematic Universe film.
In 2016, Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer and his final film, 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom' garnered him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Drama. Boseman also received four nominations at the 27th Screen Actors Guild Awards for his work in 'Da 5 Bloods' and 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom', the most for a performer at a single ceremony, winning Male Actor in a Leading Role for Ma Rainey.
