The agency that give birth to the K-pop group Laboum is set to unleash their second group, a rookie seven-member boy group, TRENDZ, who will debut in January 2022. Over the last few months, K-pop has seen many rookie groups debuting in the industry. This new boy group will debut in close competition with Mnet ‘Girls Planet 999’ group Kep1er whose debut has been pushed back again and again after two members of the group tested positive for Covid-19.

Interpark Music Plus (also known as Interpark) was the agency behind Laboum, the girl group, that debuted in 2014. Now the agency is putting their hopes on their first boy group Trendz (stylized in all caps) in the year to come. The seven members of Trendz — Hanit, Hankook, Leon, Eunil, Yechan, ra.L, and Yoonwoo, were initially active as trainees in the industry and were called, ‘Inter Boys’. Find out more about their debut mini-album below.

Who are TRENDZ?

TRENDZ is the upcoming seven-member boy group under Interpark Music Plus, who will make their debut in January 2022 with their first mini-album ‘Blue Set Chapter 1. Tracks’. Early in July this year, the label announced that they were soon going to debut more K-pop idols under the label. With the success of their girl group, Laboum, fans were really excited to see what Interpark had in store of fans.

Soon after the announcement, it was revealed that Interpark was preparing to launch a new male idol group within the year. In July 2021, the group got its official social media accounts and the name of the group was revealed. As trainees, the members, pre-debut, called themselves Inter Boys after their agency. They had uploaded their first dance cover to fourth-gen group Stray Kids' single, ‘Back Door’ during that time.

Unrevealed member D from the group also performed a dance cover on SHINee member Taemin's solo song ‘Advice,’ while the entire group also performed SuperM's ‘Tiger Inside’ on their social media channels.
