BTOB Minhyuk bags role in 'Her Bucket List' after flashing washboard abs for magazine cover

The concept of male K-pop idols putting their ripped bodies on the cover of the Korean edition of popular health magazine Men’s Health has been taking off over the past few years. Many K-pop idols like BM of Kard, Wonho, Baekho from NU’EST, almost all members of 2PM, Jay Park as well as Minhyuk of BTOB have graced the cover of the magazines in the past.

BTOB’s Minhyuk last graced the cover of Men’s Health Korea back in February of 2014. Now, seven years later, Minhyuk graces the cover again and presents his grown-up self that is manly and fierce. In the behind-the-scenes videos Minhyuk released on his personal Instagram account, fans were able to see how hard he trained to achieve the look he is flaunting on the cover. Now, it seems something good has come with it.

Minhyuk bags web-drama appearance

It looks like fans have been swooning over the 31-year-old idol Minhyuk so much so that the idol and actor has bagged a new K-drama appearance. Minhyuk has established himself as an actor since his first K-drama appearance in 2013 which went on up to 2018 until he enlisted in the military. Minhyuk went on a temporary hiatus from February 2019 to September 2020.

Ever since he returned from the military, fans have been wanting to see the idol return to acting. In the year 2020, Minhyuk appeared in the period action film, ‘The Swordsman’ that left fans asking for more. Now after almost a whole year, BTOB’s Minhyuk has reportedly returned back to acting soon after his magazine cover went viral.

Minhyuk in 'Her Bucket List'

On December 14, it was reported that Minhyuk (also known by his pseudonym Huta) has been cast for the role of Choi Jun-hwan in the upcoming 2021/22 K-drama ‘Her Bucket List’. The show is produced by BTOB’s agency Cube Entertainment and it is slated to release on December 31 for its initial broadcast.

While no more information about his role is released, the K-drama is a web drama based on a webtoon of the same name. The show will have 10 episodes and will be released on Kakao TV in South Korea as well as Viki, internationally. Fans of Minhyuk are elated to hear the news of the idol making a comeback to K-dramas and acting with a webtoon-based drama.



 

Minhyuk was also part of another movie titled, ‘Ghost Story’ (aka Geodam) alongside many other K-pop idols like Golden Child’s Jaehyun, Lovelyz’s Jisoo, WJSN’s SeolA and Exy, Monsta X’s Shown and The Boyz’s Haknyeon among other actors. The web series, also supposedly a ten-episode web drama which is still in post-production to be released soon. BTOB fans as well as fans of Minhyuk are excited to see him make a comeback to acting very soon.
