LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The CW is back with one of its most popular and highly anticipated series of all time, 'Riverdale'. However, the supernatural horror crime drama series which started in 2017, is finally going to wrap up in 2023, with its last season. Thus, fans be prepared to bid goodbye to the ensemble cast based on the Archies comics which featured: K.J. Apa as Archie, Cole Sprouse as Jughead, Lili Reinhart as Betty, Madelaine Petsch as the red-headed Cheryl, Camila Mendes as sassy Veronica, Casey Cott as Kevin, Erinn Westbrook as Tabitha, Vanessa Morgan as Toni, Drew Ray Tanner's Fangs, and lastly, Charles Melton's Reggie. Regardless, as the wait begins to wind down, The CW shared the official Season 7 poster of the series.

Furthermore, 'Riverdale' has also been noted as being one of the most popular and rewatched shows worldwide on the popular streaming platform, Netflix. The large number of fans watching the series on the platform also gave the show a large bump in the ratings early on for instance when the series' second season premiered.

The 50s era is back

The CW's 'Riverdale' returns in two weeks with its seventh and final season. After a whirlwind of wild storylines through the years, the series will come to a close as it takes the crew back in time. In the months leading up to the new season, recently viewers have gotten a taste of what's to come through a first-look photo dropped by the channel. The new poster includes iconic objects and places from the show, and the '50s era Season 7 is set in. The sign for Pop's Chock' Lit Shoppe is nestled right at the center, as it's been a staple to the show since the very beginning. Riverdale High School sits underneath it, something of a full-circle moment as the group returns to their teenage years.

'Still running?'

After the poster dropped online fans were quick to share their opinions on it. A fan said, "Still running? This was worse than FRIENDS ngl." A fan shared, "The way I haven't seen this "show" since the second season and I will watch this last one because its closer to being comic accurate than the rest of the series," while another added, "Absolutely LOVED Riverdale for the first three seasons. Gave up early in the fourth." A fan tweeted, "trash is finally over." Lastly, a fan commented, "My life was better ever since I dropped Riverdale."
