As is the routine, we eagerly wait every Thursday night to catch the latest happenings on 'Tommy', the hit primetime crime drama featuring Edie Falco, Russell G. Jones, Thomas Sadoski, Vladimir Caamano, Adelaide Clemens, among many others. But fans should brace yourselves for a disappointment as the upcoming Episode 7 will not be airing on March 19, at 10 pm (ET) this time.

But we are here to share with you our speculation for such an unwarranted break in a popular show.

Initially, as scheduled, ‘Tommy’ was going to be on a short two-week break, on the pretext of 'March Madness', scheduled to air at the same time. However, with the current global pandemic blanketing the nation, many shows have discontinued airing present episodes or have halted the production of future episodes due to precautionary reasons. However, we are not sure if this break for ‘Tommy’ is due to COVID-19 or is it due to March Madness, which eventually will not air.

So far, in the last six episodes, we have seen LAPD Chief of Police, Abigail Thomas (Edie Falco) take on her new job and move to the sunny LA, all the way from New York City, and fight to keep the city’s law and order in control. While she strives to uphold justice at all levels, she has a whole deal of challenges to address and fight through. From being in the good books of the Mayor, putting together a team of the most efficient officers, to top-of-the-line detectives, and an excellent PR team, Tommy will leave no stone unturned to prove her worth and make LAPD a safe and secure place.

However, along with her professional journey, Tommy also is trying hard to keep her estranged family in order, dealing with her daughter’s troubled marriage, and getting her own personal life in place. With every episode, we see Tommy solve the most pressing social and legal issues hitting the city, one problem at a time. We can’t say right now as to what’s in store when the show comes back on air after two weeks.

So, while they are on a break, you can catch up on the last few chapters of Tommy’s journey on CBS and stay updated. You can also watch the reruns that would be airing during this time.

‘Tommy’ will come back on CBS, on Thursday, April 2, at 10 pm/9c.

Stay tuned as we bring you more updates and information about the show and/or its break.
