It just seems to be bad news after bad news for Togethers (TO1’s fandom) and they are now tired. We first had TO1 and Kep1er fans banding to call out their label Wake One Entertainment for alleged mistreatment. The protest began when the label simply tweeted about Woonggi’s birthday on April 23 and was silent on Chihoon’s birthday on April 27. Fans had also pointed out that TO1 had been silent on social media, from barely any group VLives to no social media updates. A day after fans’ uproar, Wake One shared that Chihoon had left TO1.

Togethers had trended their grievances since April 27 in hopes that Wake One would treat TO1 better. However, Chihoon’s departure without a reasonable explanation had fans disheartened. Fans had then asked Wake One to let TO1 skip KCON and rest since they too might have been upset with Chihoon’s sudden departure. Well, fans sort of got their wish. While TO1 did appear and perform at KCON, it has now been announced that they will be going on an indefinite hiatus.

TO1 goes on hiatus

Togethers were surprised when Wake One announced on May 25 that TO1 was going on a hiatus. They thanked fans for their support at KCON but the boy group would be needing some time to reorganize themselves. During this hiatus, TO1 will also not be active on social media like FanCafe, Twitter, Bubble, etc. All of their scheduled activities have also been canceled. However, Jaeyun, who is a regular MC of Arirang’s ‘After School Club’ every Tuesday, will continue with his hosting gig. Wake One shared that they were taking this decision as the TO1 members needed time to recharge and prepare themselves to show a new and mature side to them for their next comeback.

'Haven't they gone through enough'

This is not the first time that TO1 has rebranded. The boy group had been formed on the K-pop survival show ‘World Klass’ and had debuted as TOO. After their stint on the survival show ‘Road To Kingdom’, they had gone on a hiatus in 2021, moved labels, and then changed their name to TO1. Fans made jokes like, “I guess we won't be able to escape the debuting as TO2 allegations,” and “We about to change the name every year… maybe in 2030 we can be TOO again ;)))).”

One wondered if TO1 would be again participating in another survival show ‘Boys Planet’, “If to1 goes on boys planet i’m going to throw a fit.” Another Together said, “I am so scared for my to1 boys... havent they gone through enough? What is this sh*tty company planning to do exactly cause this is not normal it's damn suspicious…” One fan commented, “Netizens speculating members change, d word, rebranding as to2, the boys being sent to boys planet. what are all of these 😭😭😭 i like none of em pls.”
