It looks like fans’ worst fears have come true. What would have been a celebratory day turned disastrous as TO1 fans rallied against the group’s K-pop label Wake One Entertainment to ask why they were silent on Chihoon’s birthday on April 27. They also pointed out that the label had done the bare minimum by just tweeting about Woonggi’s birthday on April 23. Togethers (TO1’s fandom) were also confused as to why the group was inactive on social media and had not even come on VLive for weeks.

Togethers ended up trending the phrase ‘Wake One Wake Up’ since April 27 in hopes that the label treats TO1 better. The group’s labelmates, Kep1er have also not been able to show off their full potential as they have been cyberbullied with member Huening Bahiyyih being sent constant hate in particular. Kep1er fans too joined that hashtag and helped trend it so that Wake One would notice and take some action. And while fans were at it, Togethers warned the label that nothing should happen to TO1. Unfortunately, on April 30, it was announced that Chihoon had left TO1.

Chihoon leaves TO1

Wake One shared a statement where they revealed that Chihoon had canceled his exclusive contract with them. At the same time, he had also left his K-pop group TO1. The label apologized for worrying fans and asked them to support the rest of TO1. The boy group had debuted with Chihoon back in 2020 from Mnet’s survival show ‘World Klass’ and had turned heads as they had participated in another survival show ‘Road To Kingdom’.

‘Can’t stop crying’

Fans are upset as they tweeted, “I literally cant stop crying.” Another Together posted, “The mistreatment is too much wtf. now chihoon left the group. what's next wakeone for u to treat them better???? anw, wishing for the best bcs u deserve it sm, chihoon : ((.” One fan commented, “I'm pretty sad abt chihoon leaving the group but on the bright side i'm happy he's free from the mistreatment of his company 🥹 i wish chihoon and to1 nothing but the best.” Another said, “I am thankful you became a part of TO1, i'll still support you on any career path that you chose, i love you so much choi chihoon.”

Many wondered why Chihoon left, “If wake1 did not give a damn reason on Chihoon's departure, most likeley he's not happy anymore. And if the other members are not too, then what. WAKEONE GIVE US SOMETHING.” One fan was angry, “No updates from any of the members for almost a month and then you come out to say chihoon left the f**king group??? And with no explanation as to why either??? Fuck wakeone I’m so serious.”

Another Together asked, “WHY CAN'T THEY ALL JUST TERMINATE THEIR CONTRACTS AND MOVE UNDER A NEW LABEL 😭😭😭 they've been through too much I just want them to be together and not have to worry about something happening again.” One said, “I have a feeling that Wakeone made decisions that Chihoon didn't like. He did not join the survival show, debuted and rebranded just to leave the group. We know how much he loves TO1.”
