'The Witcher' Season 2 Episode 7: WAR begins as demon possesses Ciri for showdown
It’s the penultimate episode of ‘The Witcher’ Season 2 and it seems that the ultimate showdown between good and evil is finally going to take place soon. During Episode 5, we saw an evil witch and Yennefer (Anya Chalotra) talking to each other as the sorcerer wanted her powers back. However, the only way to get her powers was to get Ciri (Freya Allan) just outside the boundaries of Cintra.
In Episode 6, Yennefer betrays Geralt (Henry Cavill) and takes Ciri away with her. They end up being in a place where Ciri took refuge after she fled Cintra. She wanted to stay there and wait for Geralt but Yennefer knew that if she does that, then she’s never getting her powers back. So, she tells Ciri to move forward and get to Cintra. They take horses and make their way to Cintra. On the other hand, Geralt finds his way to his old mate Jaskier the Bard, who is now known to the world as the Sandpiper. They both make embark on a journey to find Ciri and that’s when Jaskier tells him that he met Yennefer. He also told him that she muttered something about forests, mothers, and huts when Redanian guards caught her.

'The Witcher' Season 2 Episode 6: Yennefer betrays Geralt as she takes away Ciri
Geralt understood that Yennefer was in the league with the Deathless Mother. He feels she wouldn’t open the doors for the witch to prey upon people’s pain and desperation, but Jaskier says that she would do anything to have her powers back. Elsewhere, Yennefer and Ciri would need to cross a river to get to Cintra but the bridge is broken. Ciri uses her power to make a bridge, however, she couldn’t. She screams so loudly that when she opens her eyes, they have crossed the river. Ciri says Sorry for what she has done, but Yennefer says that she shouldn’t be sorry for her powers.
They reach the boundary of Cintra and Yennefer asks her about the big gap in the ground. Ciri says that she was responsible for it. Yennefer was shocked to know about her true potential and changes her mind to take her to the witch. The portal does open, but Yennefer tells Ciri that she can go back if she’s afraid. Ciri finally gets to know about Yennefer’s real intentions and says she can’t trust her. However, something happens beneath the ground and a big crack begins to appear that makes its way to the outer wall of Cintra. They prepare for an attack and several warriors get Ciri and Yennefer in order to capture them.
But Geralt reaches there on time with some assistance from the Dwarves he met on the way. They kill the warriors and as soon as Yennefer tries going toward Ciri, Geralt puts the sword on her neck and orders Ciri to go away with Jaskier and everyone else. Ciri doesn’t want to leave him, but Geralt says that he needs to kill a monster and end everything.
The episode ends with Geralt and Yennefer going to see the hut where the evil witch lives while Ciri and others are making their way to some other place. However, the witch is awake now and has possessed Ciri.
What will happen now? Will Ciri really be the end of the world? The finale is going to be an epic ride.
