Spoilers for 'The Witcher' Season 2 Episode 1

One of the most-watched Netflix original series, ‘The Witcher’, is back with Season 2 and the stakes are much higher this time around. The first edition ended with a massive cliff-hanger and made everyone wonder if Yeneffer (Anya Chalotra) is still alive or not after the epic battle between the North and Nilfgaard. Apart from that, we also saw Geralt (Henry Cavill) finally meeting Ciri (Freya Allen). They embrace each other and the season came to an end.

As far as Season 2 is concerned, the newest edition starts with Geralt and Freya continuing their journey. They finally find a place for themselves and enter the village. However, Geralt (Cavill) feels that there is something wrong with the place because there are no guards at the gates and not even barking dogs. So, he takes Ciri (Allen) to a friend’s house. However, his friend, Nivellen, has changed a lot due to a curse and turned into a monster. He takes him into his house and he is full of magic tricks.

When the game ends, Geralt feels the presence of someone and wakes Ciri, telling her to reach for Roach, his horse. He consumes the ‘Witcher Potion’ and searches for the Bruxa, a higher vampire. Soon, he finds Bruxa in Nivellen’s room and moves forward in order to kill her. But Bruxa attacks him and pins him to the wall. However, Geralt counterattacks and sends her out of the castle. An epic fight sequence takes place between Geralt and the Bruxa. The fight ends with Geralt injuring Bruxa and pinning her to the ground. Bruxa gets up and uses Ciri as a human shield to get safely out of there.

Shockingly, Bruxa is attacked from behind by Nivellen and when we thought that she must have died, she doesn’t. She tells Nivellen that she loves him and tries to bite him, but Geralt uses his sword to take her head separated from her body.
