After taking a slow flight on ‘The Voice’ season 21, Joshua Vacanti had earned a standing ovation from all four coaches last week. Cut to his latest performance, the New York native again took a creative risk during the ‘Challenge Week’ episode aired on Monday, November 29. Joshua dedicated his latest set to his wife on the occasion of their second anniversary while also trying his best to fight for the coveted Top 8 spot.

The 28-year-old crooner delivered a breathtaking rendition of Alicia Key’s multiple award-winning tracks ‘If I Ain't Got You’. John Legend, who had blocked Ariana Grande to steal Joshua at the beginning of the season, briefed him with a few helpful pointers before he enthralled the rest of the coaches namely Ariana Grande, Blake Shelton, and Kelly Clarkson.  Social media users, who were earlier pissed off from the singer’s renditions, loved his latest performance and claimed that he was the only deserving contestant left to win.

Joshua Vacanti steps out of comfort zone for Top 8

The remaining singers on ‘The Voice’ Season 21 fought to fill the top eight spots as two will be ousted in the next episode- saving only one. Joshua is mainly known for his Broadway-style signing but as per the challenge, this week he opted for a different genre and nailed his performance with a soulful vibe.

Speaking to him, Blake Shelton stated Joshua blew him away yet again whereas, John added that he loved how Joshua took risks every week ultimately paying him off. The next episode of the singing reality show will be aired on Tuesday, November 30. Only the best eight contestants will go to the semi-finals that will be aired in the first week of December.
