'The Voice' Season 24: Internet dubs NBC show 'rigged from the start' as Team Niall's Huntley wins title
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Huntley was ultimately crowned 'The Voice' season 24 winner!
The long-running NBC competition reality show named its 24th champion on December 19, and viewers believe the singer lacks range.
The Top 5 competitors on 'The Voice' had until 7 am ET on December 19 to cast their votes: Ruby Leigh, Lila Forde, Huntley, Mara Justine, and Jacquie Roar.
Before Tuesday's live finale, fans could only vote once per email address on 'The Voice's website or official app, which included performances by Earth, Wind & Fire, Keith Urban, AJR, Tyla, and forthcoming Season 25 coaches Dan + Shay.
On the December 18 broadcast, the last five singers showcased their talents with two songs—one ballad and one uptempo track.
However, a considerable number of viewers have turned to social media to voice their dissatisfaction with the Season 24 winner.
On X, fans noted, "Huntley winning…this is easily the worst outcome ever i’m enraged." While another user felt, "not to play the blame game but it got obvious that Niall was promoting Huntley more than Mara."

One user also tweeted, "Nah, if Ruby was on Team Niall she would’ve won. Shit was rigged from the start. They wanted him to go back to back since Blake was gone. Ruby was clear-cut better. Huntley will join every other voice winner in obscurity within a year I am sick man!!!"
Another user sighed, "Huntley wins Mara Justine robbed."

A user also observed, "Noooo! Not Huntley! Any of the 4 females would have been better than him! I don't understand why people think Huntley is so special. He's just another man who shouts out of tune. There are thousands of them."
A fan added, "Huntley has the same voice for every song and I’m just not a fan. Thought Lila had the best voice by far. Showed a lot of range."
Noooo! Not Huntley! 😢

What does 'The Voice' Season 24 winner get?
The winner doesn't just secure bragging rights; they stand to gain a significant financial prize along with a coveted record deal.
The 'The Voice' champion will receive a reward package of $100,000 along with a contract with Universal Music Group, making it a truly remarkable prize.
However, it is only part of the story. They establish bonds with their coaches throughout their stay in the show.
Therefore, they have the opportunity to connect with a seasoned figure in the music industry who can provide guidance and additional mentorship. Notably, former coach Blake Shelton has a track record of inviting his winning singers to join him as opening acts on tour.
Carson Daly has revealed that the winner and runner-up of Season 24 will each receive a trip for two to either Universal Studios in Florida or California.
Which coach has the highest number of wins on 'The Voice'?
While the participants do all the singing, the coaches are praised for their ability to select a winning team. As a result, when a vocalist is named champion, their coach is also considered a winner.
With nine winning candidates, Blake Shelton has the most wins.
Kelly Clarkson has won 'The Voice' four times, while one of the original coaches, Adam Levine, has won three times.
Niall joined 'The Voice' as a Coach in Season 23 and won the competition with Gina Miles right away making him the two-time winner.
Pharrell Williams won Season 8 of 'The Voice' alongside young vocalist Sawyer Fredericks.
John Legend won 'The Voice' with Maelyn Jarmon in Season 16. Usher, who served as a Coach in Seasons 4 and 6, won with singer Josh Kaufman in Season 6.
Christina Aguilera, one of the original four Coaches, won once with Alisan Porter in Season 10.
Alicia Keys won Season 12 of 'The Voice' alongside singer Chris Blue. Gwen Stefani won 'The Voice' once, alongside Carter Rubin, in Season 19.
Where are 'The Voice' winners now?
Many of the 'The Voice' winners have gone on to have prosperous careers in music following their time on the game show. Among the most well-known talents are Sawyer (season 8 winner), Jordan Smith (season 9 winner), Josh (season 6 winner), Cassadee Pope (season 3 winner), and Danielle Bradbery (season 4 winner).
While it may just be a matter of time, none of 'The Voice' winners have attained the same level of success as some of the 'American Idol' winners over the years.
