‘The Voice’ Battles 2022: Fans rejoice as Gwen Stefani 'steals' Sasha Hurtado from Camila Cabello
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: Is ‘The Voice’ really ‘The Voice’ if the show doesn’t include some light drama between the judges? Episode 11 of the show yet again gave the viewers an entertaining banter between the judges as coach Gwen Stefani “stole” fellow coach Camila Cabello’s teammate. But it was for the greater good, of course.
Episode 11 of Season 22 saw Camila’s coachees, Sasha Hurtado, and Eric Torres aka Devix, go head to head as they battled it out. The duo belted MGMT’s song ‘Electric Feel’, and my oh my, was the audience left “electrified” after their soulful performance. The pair swayed even the coaches as Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton and John Legend all showered praises on them. But Camila needed to choose who would proceed to the next round, and though it might have been a hard decision for the songstress, she decided on Devix. But, just as viewers were about to shed a tear for Sasha, Gwen rode in like her knight in shining armor and “stole” the singer. And fans can’t be happier about it. Here’s what they think. Watch the duo’s performance below.

What makes ‘The Voice’ unlike other singing competitions is the mystery of the blind auditions and the “steals” and “saves” that the coaches get to use during tough decisions. When a contestant is just too great to send home, the coaches might use their save or steal them from a fellow coach. And though “stealing” a participant might create some light drama, sometimes fans are glad when judges steal a favorite contestant as it means their time on the show is extended. So when coach Gwen decided to steal Sasha from Camila, fans couldn’t contain their joy as now they will get to see the talented Sasha compete in the next round.
