'The Voice' 2023: Kate Cosentino fails to impress Blake Shelton with her blind audition
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' Season 23 has viewers glued to the small screen. They can't get enough of the coaches' banter as they try to recruit talent to their teams. The blind auditions in Episode 4 featured Italian singer Kate Cosentino from Kansas City. Kate impressed the three coaches Kelly Clarkson, Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper with her Italian charm and beautiful voice.
The indie pop singer/songwriter chose to sing her own rendition of 'I Say a Little Prayer,' piquing the interest of Kelly, who was the first to press the button, Chance and Niall soon followed. Chance thought Kate's outfit was 'cool' and the artist revealed it was inspired by "clown couture." However, it seems that Kate's singing failed to excite OG coach Blake Shelton, as he was the only one who didn't turn around.

For her blind auditions, Kate decided to perform her own rendition of 'I Say a Little Prayer.' She accompanied her singing with a guitar and Kelly even said, "I was interested to know if you had an instrument or not." When Kate hit a high note in her song, Kelly immediately turned around, followed by Chance and Niall. The coaches praised Kate's singing and Chance said "amazing." Niall praised Kate for her confidence and said she has the potential to make it to the top. He then added, "Please don't choose Kelly."
