'The Voice' 2023 Playoffs: Fans certain Manasseh Samone's 'off pitch' voice and 'shaky opening' got her eliminated
UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: The cutthroat competition of 'The Voice' Season 23 Playoff round begins. And here comes Chance the Rapper's team member Manasseh Samone. In order to impress the coaches in the Playoff round, Manasseh tried her best to stand out by doing some unique things with her voice.
However, instead of being flattered by Manasseh's performance, fans of NBC's 'The Voice' seem to be slamming her for not being worth a win. A few claimed that her singing was way better in the previous episodes as compared to the ones in the Playoff round. Manasseh tried her best to impress the coach by singing 'Speak The Name'.

Manasseh Samone's fate hangs in jeopardy
Manasseh tried some different notes during her performance in the Playoffs round. Listening to her song and the effort she took for it, Niall Horan and Kelly Clarkson claimed that it was a "passionate performance". Niall loved the passion Manasseh showed on the stage. But it seems that Blake Shelton was not much impressed. He noted the shaky parts of her performance. The coach appreciated that Manasseh recovered from the shaky part by the end of her performance.
While Bake was not happy with the little mistakes Manasseh made during her performance, Chance the Rapper called it the "best performance". Well, it seems Manasseh's shaky opening was the reason for her elimination in the Playoff round.
'There were many mistakes'
Fans do not feel Manasseh should go ahead in the show. A fan tweeted, "@chancetherapper #TheVoice You cannot put Manneah through after that performance... so pitchy!" A fan claimed, "#thevoice I remember Manessah being way better! I was positive she was going to make it through but now… there were many mistakes idk. I was really hoping she would blow me away."
To this, another replied, "Yeah Manessah was off pitch at least 5 times (just that I caught and I'm no pro) in the first half of the song. Not her best. But I like her song choice because I think it's cool to see stuff like gospel music in #TheVoice sometimes." "Manasseh Samone just a bit nervous opening, those fluttery butterflies. Her voice was giving me worship but her body was so stiff for the 1st half, better when she came off the mic stand and started testifying. Such a powerful voice," tweeted a fan.
Another fan claimed to not be sure whether Manessah will be able to make it to the semi-finals. "#thevoice I remember Manessah being way better! I was positive she was going to make it through but now… there were many mistakes idk. I was really hoping she would blow me away," tweeted the fan.
