Kelly Clarkson fought tooth and nail to secure four-chair turn performers Gymani and Aaron Hines on her team during blind auditions. Finally, after managing to put together a team of some impressive vocalists on her Team Kelly, it was once again time for 'The Voice' coach to further trim out her team during the battles round. Kelly surprised everybody by pitting her two four-chair turn performers Gymani and Aaron against each other.

Kelly picked Tate McRae and Khalid's 'Working' as the song for her star performers. Both Gymani and Aaron didn't hold anything back and brought their A-game right from the rehearsals stage. The duo perfectly complemented each other's vocals and managed to give a show-stopping performance for the battles round. Before Kelly made her extremely difficult decision of picking the winner of the battle, the other coaches gave their feedback. Ariana Grande and Blake Shelton praised both the performers but leaned towards Gymani as their pick as her impeccable vocals were hard to miss. On the other hand, John Legend couldn't stop raving about just how good Aaron sounded.

It was finally the performers' coach Kelly's turn to pick who she wanted to continue keeping on her team by picking the winner. She expressed how impossibly difficult the task was picking a winner among the two powerhouse singers. But she went with Gymani as her winner. This left Aaron at the risk of being eliminated if he doesn't get a steal from the other coaches. Only Ariana had a steal button left, but sadly the pop icon didn't steal Aaron as she claimed that she was waiting for a special performance to use her steal option. She used it for Manny Keith, someone she had been eyeing since the beginning of the show.

This meant that Aaron's journey on the NBC show was cut short. Fans were not at all pleased with the coaches' decision to not save him or steal him and called them out for sending him home. A fan tweeted, "@kellyclarkson #VoiceBattles Why put Aaron with her Not fair to ." "Please bring back Aaron as Wild Card or more. His Voice is good.@kellyclarkson #VoiceBattles," requested a fan. Another fan wrote, "Aaron SHOULD HAD STAYED!!!!! These people are crazy for letting him go!! We need our own show...Aint no way Aaron SHOULD be gone #TheVoice." "Mmmm. Love Gymani but… Aaron def won that for me. He had this uniqueness to his Voice. Def a Star! #TheVoice," added a fan.

Another fan shared, "#TheVoice Arians stole him over Aaron?🤔😐 Aaron is a better singer...Perhaps, this was a sympathy steal." "Omg how did Ariana not steal Aaron? Both of them were really good n had a shot at winning it all #TheVoice," seconded a fan. "I would steal @officialaaronh! #TheVoice I think his coach made a stupid move because I believe Aaron will still go after his dreams," declared a fan.
