'The Pope's Exorcist': Release date and how to watch the supernatural horror film
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sony Pictures' upcoming supernatural horror film, 'The Pope's Exorcist' is right around the corner. This chilling horror film is directed by Julius Avery and written by Michael Petroni, Evan Spiliotopoulos, and R Dean McCreary. The film features Russell Crowe, Franco Nero and Ralph Ineson, and Daniel Zovatto, who starred in the popular horror film 'Don't Breath' in 2016.
The film is a legacy sequel to the previous franchise and the movie is an adaptation of the book 'An Exorcist Tells His Story' written by Amorth, an Italian Catholic priest who was also an exorcist. Amorth claimed to have carried out 160,000 exorcisms during his lifetime. Although 'The Pope's Exorcist' may seem intriguing, it shares similarities with numerous horror films that revolve around exorcism, including the genre-defining classic, 'The Exorcist'.
