What we know about 'Sleeping Dogs' so far

We do know what the movie is going to be about. In the wake of receiving cutting-edge Alzheimer's treatment, Roy Freeman (Crowe), a former homicide investigator, is tasked with revisiting a horrible murder case from his past: the gruesome murder of a college professor (Csokas). Roy asks his former partner to assist him in reviving the probe since he is curious and trying to restore his memory. This time, however, events play out quite differently when they come across a fascinating and alluring woman (Gillan): as he unearths a complex web of contradictions and secrets, Roy is compelled to confront a horrifying reality that instantly alters his entire universe.

A look at Flanagan's work

Flanagan is currently starring alongside Joseph Sikora in Starz's 'Power Book IV: Force', a spin-off of the wildly successful crime drama 'Power', which has been renewed for a second season. Flanagan is perhaps best known for his role as Filip "Chibs" Telford in FX's Emmy-nominated biker gang drama 'Sons of Anarchy', which ran for seven seasons. With Evan Rachel Wood and Vincent Cassel, he most recently made an appearance on HBO's 'Westworld'. He has also starred in shows like 'Peaky Blinders' and 'Wu Assassins' on Netflix.

Flanagan's most recent film credits include the James Gunn-directed 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2', the action thriller 'Boon' with Neil McDonough, the crime actioner 'Killers Anonymous' with Gary Oldman and Jessica Alba, the critically acclaimed western 'The Ballad of Lefty Brown' with Bill Pullman, Jim Caviezel, and Peter Fonda, and the remake of 'Papillon' by Bleecker Street.
