Viewership numbers

The data acquired by The Hollywood Reporter reveals the 'The Night Agent' viewership was sufficient to promote it to the top position on Netflix's internal charts in the United States and 78 other nations. Since July 2021, when Netflix started disclosing viewership data, only two other Netflix shows have outperformed 'The Night Agent' and they are 'Wednesday' with 341.23 million hours viewed and 'Dahmer – Monsters: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story' with 196.2 million hours watched.

What's next on Netflix?

The action-thriller series' outstanding first-week results will undoubtedly raise Netflix's expectations for the remainder of 2023. The popular streaming service has a number of high-profile shows coming out between now and December, including the comedy-drama 'Beef', which debuts in April and will stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. 'The American Jesus' comic book trilogy by Mark Millar and Peter Gross will also be made into a live-action film. The adaptation, titled 'The Chosen One', has yet to receive an air date from Netflix, but a recently released poster for the series hints it may premiere soon.

The streamer is also counting on a few of its well-known blockbusters to maintain subscription growth. Both a second season of 'Wednesday' and the fifth and final set of episodes of the psychological suspense drama, 'You', received approval in January. The fifth season of the highly acclaimed sci-fi horror drama, 'Stranger Things', which is now in production, will be its swan song.

Till then, you can watch 'The Night Agent', which is exclusively available to stream on Netflix.
