LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Netflix has teased us viewers with a trailer from its upcoming action thriller series, 'The Night Agent'. The show is based on a book of the same name by Matthew Quirk and is created by executive producer Shawn Ryan alongside MiddKid Productions and Project X Entertainment. Shawn Ryan was also the executive producer of another action drama 'Timeless'.

Stationed in the basement of the White House, Peter is tasked to operate an emergency telephone which hardly ever rings! And when it does, he is supposed to transfer the calls to the concerned authority. Breaking this chain of monotony, Peter receives an emergency call from a civilian named Rose, who is being attacked by a veiled killer. Will this one call push Peter into a rabbit hole of a dark conspiracy against the high-ranking powerful people of the White House? As Peter and Rose try to solve the mystery, they find no one at their aid while practically averting assassination plots against them.
