JOHOR, MALAYSIA: 'The Mole' Season 2 is at the door and fans must be wondering to they could participate next season in the high stakes competition. If you play the best game all while trying to find out who is sabotaging your chances at winning, the you are the perfect player of the Netflix show.

Netflix organizes a casting call to search for potential players months before filming the show. However, if the player wants to participate next season, then they need to start tracking Netflix's website from now. The streaming giant invite diverse candidates but they must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the US, Canada, UK, or Ireland.

The player has to send a one-minute video as an audition describing why they are perfect for the competition. The casting crew go through the thousands of applications and narrows it down to 12. They dig deep about the 12 contestants to find the potential 'mole'. 



 

How does Netflix's 'The Mole' work?

Netflix's 'The Mole' invites twelve strangers looking to add money to the pot but they have a liar trying to ruin their plans. Each week, the contestants will work together on multiple challenges such as breaking out of a locked prison cell or searching for sunken treasure. The challenges would test their skills and endurance and the contestants would try to add money to a collective prize pot.

The contestants have to stick together and utilize their best strategy, observation, and psychological acumen throughout the challenges. Meanwhile, the mole would blend in the group and gain the trust of the contestants to ultimately sabotage their plans. The players need to compete with each other at the end of the show in a thrilling quiz to identify the mole.

Who is the host of Netflix's 'The Mole' Season 2?

Award-winning journalist and host, Ari Shapiro, is all set to take over hosting duties for Netflix's 'The Mole' Season 2. Shapiro has an impressive journalism career, he spent two years as NPR's International Correspondent in London. His overseas move came after four years as NPR's White House Correspondent during President Barack Obama's first and second term. He was also NPR's Justice Correspondent for five years during the George W Bush Administration, covering debates over surveillance, detention, and interrogation in the years after 9/11.

The Netflix show host later became the host of NPR's daily afternoon news podcast 'Consider This'. Shapiro has won a series of prestigious awards including three national Edward R Murrow awards, and was named Journalist of the Year in 2023 by the NLGJA. Besides being in the newsroom, he spends his time performing as a singer, having appeared alongside Alan Cumming and the band Pink Martini.

Catch the 'The Mole' Season 2 Episode 1 to 5 on Friday, June 28 on Netflix with remaining five episodes premiering on July 5 and July 12.
