'The Masked Singer' fans have floated theories after seeing the clues, concluding that Amber Riley was the celebrity underneath Harp's mask

Donning a golden colored mermaid gown, the outlandish Harp took everyone by surprise. The Harp’s body-hugging dress had golden strings attached behind it. Entering the stage of ‘The Masked Singer’ Season 8 like a golden diva, the Harp opened premiere night with her extraordinary voice singing ‘Perfect’ by P!nk.

Before treating her fans to her soulful voice, the Harp dropped some clues through her introduction clip. The singer under Harp’s costume revealed that she auditioned for the biggest singing show in the world when she was a teenager. Not just that, she was asked what was her proudest achievement. She wittily revealed that she had explored careers in singing, acting, as well as comedy and won awards for all three. However, she had to share the award she won for comedy with one of her friends. The clue provided by Fox while introducing the Harp, before the release of the show, was "sheet music”. Clues for Harp

Putting on the glamorous and sparkling attire, Harp slipped the hint that she was turned down by the biggest singing show she auditioned for as a teenager. The rejection she got there played a big part in molding her personality. Harp said, “I was devastated, but I knew I had to keep going.” She explained how her uniqueness landed her an “opportunity of a lifetime”. She then got the lead role in some shows. More clue were revealed when a man dressed in a black suit and wearing a witch hat have the Harp a bouquets of flowers. In the end, she revealed that the “Nos” in her life made her stronger. She said, “I’m not taking no for an answer tonight”. Well, the same happened, and the diva won the premiere night.

Is Amber Riley under Harp Mask?

Harp’s teenage story could be an indication she is Amber Riley. Riley auditioned for American Idol, supposedly the biggest singing show, when she was 17. Failing to wow the judges back then, she was rejected. In an interview with Distractify, the 36-year-old revealed that “it was completely necessary” as it helped her figure out what she really wanted to do in her life. Another clue that related to Riley was sheet music as her ‘Colorblind’ is famous for the same. Harp also revealed that she was a singer, actor, and comedian. While these clues sync as Riley has had a glowing career in all the above-mentioned professions. She is well known as Mercedes Jones, her character from 'Glee'. Moreover, along with other crew members, she won the award for the comedy-musical TV series. Well, these clues seem to fit perfectly. Fox fans, therefore, came to the conclusion that Amber Riley was the celebrity under the mask of Harp.

After Harp's mind-boggling performance, judges started guessing who the masked singer could be. Robin Thicke thought the singer to be Queen Latifah, Jenny McCarthy claimed it to be either Jordin Sparks or Fantasia as they went to ‘American Idol’. Ken Jeong guessed Jennifer Hudson, but fans had strong feelings for only Riley. ‘The Masked Singer’ fans instantly noticed it was Riley because of her distinct vocal placement and her “riiight” annunciation. Several fans took to Twitter to declare their findingd. "I immediately knew the Harp was Amber Riley on Masked Singer. That voice!! My goodness", commented a fan. Another said in confidence, "Hi we’re watching the Masked Singer and I’d just like it noted that we’re like 2 verses in and the harp is Amber Riley". Well, to some 'The Masked Singer' Season 8 seemed too obvious. "This new season of the masked singer is so obvious… the harp is CLEARLY amber riley," wrote a fan.

Another fan pointed out, "My queen Amber Riley finally going to be on The Masked Singer! I’d know that voice anywhere". "At first I thought the Harp would be Fantasia but now I am starting to think that she could be Amber Riley from Glee. I also believe that Ringo Starr is the Hedgehog on the Masked Singer. #TheMaskedSinger," wrote a fan. Another fan claimed, "I am LIVID that Amber Riley thought we wouldn’t immediately know this is her on Masked Singer!!! She is in my top 10 singers on the planet!!"

With all the possible clues, it is possible that Amber Riley could be under Harp's costume. But, we will have to wait until the unmasking to confirm. We can't wait to see who is under the Harp mask, but until then we will be looking for more clues that might confirm it's Riley.
