The Weeknd drops new poster for ‘The Idol’, fans exclaim ‘this show is going to be wild'

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After garnering mixed reviews from audiences globally for the first teaser of the highly discussed series ‘The Idol’ which has been helmed by Sam Levinson, The Weeknd has dropped a new poster still from the series on his official Twitter handle.

‘The Idol’ stars The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp in leading roles. The series will air on HBO and the release date of the series has still not yet been revealed by the makers. Fans are excited for the series which is a mix of drugs, scandals, orgies, and so much more. This series has been created and conceptualized by director Sam Levinson who is known for ‘Euphoria’ and the cinematic masterpiece ‘Malcolm and Marie’ which got applause from fans and critics alike.

The new poster of 'The Idol' which features The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp depicting their sizzling chemistry was shared by the singer on his official Twitter account on August 11, 2022.



 

As soon as the 'Blinding Lights' singer shared the new poster, Twitter went into overdrive. Global fan took to Twitter to express their opinions about the poster. Many also shared how they couldn't wait for the series to be released and also requested the singer to stop teasing them with these images.

“This show will fulfill my euphoria void,” said a fan. “Enough promo gimmie a release date,” another fan added. “A vibe,” a fan noted. “Can you at least tell us your character’s name and who he is?” a fan mentioned. “This show is going to be wild,” a fan added.
