'The Family Chantel' Fan Review: Lydia and Nicole Jimeno are dubbed 'delusional'

Pedro's mother and sister seem to portray a big red flag in their character and generic behavior

TLC's 'The Family Chantel' centers around Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno, and their immediate families as they navigate an intercultural marriage. It is the first spin-off series of '90 Day Fiance'. Season 1 of the show premiered in July of 2019, while Season 2 premiered in October of 2020.

Chantel's parents Karen and Thomas have graced their presence on the reality show as well. Chantel has two siblings, named Winter and River. In the episode that aired on December 6, 2021, Lydia Jimeno makes some snarky comments to her son, Pedro, about how he should live his life and not settle for less.

Pedro's sister, Nicole, is on the same page as her mother, Lydia. Having said that both these women are the definition of hypocrisy, since they've both lived their lives as side chicks, and seem to be okay with the situation.

One fan shared, "Wait a minute. Lydia is criticizing Karen for being involved in Winter's relationship when she spends every waking minute trying to break up Nicole and Alejandro. The lack of self awareness on both sides is mind-boggling. lol #TheFamilyChantel", while another said, "#thefamilychantel Pedro ass mess around and have a stroke dealing with the 3 generations of side chicks in his family and Chantal messes ass family too".

One fan shared, "Lydia and Nicole are dysfunctional & delusional #TheFamilyChantel", while another tweeted, "Karen was right when she stated that Lydia and Nicole are miserable.. females who are content with being the “side chick” and seek men who are married or in a relationship are very miserable and lost within themselves, and have DADDY ISSUES!. #TheFamilyChantel".
