NBC's 'The Courtship' has a list of doing things old school. Talk about living the Cinderella dream, this dating show is complete with ball gowns, carriages, and ballroom dances!
One of the most heartwarming things about old-school romance is writing and exchanging letters. On the show too, the 16 prospective suitors have the freedom to pen down their feelings about Ms Nicole Remy, the protagonist. Speaking of which, former Air Force Captain Daniel "Danny" Kim mentions the words "sexual tension" in one of his letters to her. A tad too far there, captain? Read ahead to find out how this unfurled on the reality dating show on NBC.

In the letter Kim wrote to Remy, he started off by saying, "To my best friend with sexual tension". To add to it, Remy's mother, Dr Claire, was the one to open and read the letter. Yikes, not embarrassing at all.
The first episode indeed does justice to the events that follow, what with it being titled "First Impressions". Kim's letter raised several brows, coughs, and comments that were brushed away. Who says that to put across a good first impression? Way to go, Captain Danny Kim!
When Remy finally meets Captain Kim, her mind obviously races back to that letter her mother read out loud, but of course, she doesn't let that get to her.
During the elimination round, Kim somehow convinces Remy that there's more to him that she doesn't know. He too is looking for love and with someone who is passionate about it, just as he is.
It almost seems like Remy took a minute to collect her thoughts and listen to her gut. Capt Kim is now in the safe zone, and she really did take a chance with him. The real question is, will he let her down a second time?
Looks like we'll have to wait it out and watch for ourselves.
'The Courtship' premiered on Sunday, March 6 at 8 pm ET/PT, on NBC.
