Who stars in the 'The Club' Season 2

Gokce Bahadir is an actress who plays Matilda in the series and is likely to return to her role. Season 2 will most likely see the actors reprise their roles and fans can expect to see Salih Bademci, Baris Arduc, Murat Garibagaoglu, Metin Akdülger, Valeria Lakhina, Merve Seyma Zengin, Doganay Ünal, Firat Tanis, Istar Gökseven, Ilker Kilic, Asude Kalebek, and Sezer Aricay.

What is 'The Club' Season 2 all about

Set in 1955, a Jewish woman by the name of Matilda finally finds herself out of jail, after being convicted for murder. Season 1 is a recap of what Matilda's life was as she navigates through the present. The daughter of a rich businessman, Matilda fell in love and got pregnant by a man named Mumtaz, who was trusted and worked for her father. However, when Turkey imposed the Wealth Tax, Matilda's family was betrayed and her father and brother were made to work in a labour camp where they died. Upon learning that it was Mumtaz's doing, she killed him, forcing her to leave her child as an orphan as she served out a prison sentence.

Now, she tries to make amends with her adult daughter, while the demons of her past still haunt her. Her daughter, Rasel, ends up walking in her mother's footsteps when she gets pregnant by her lover, a Muslim man named Ismet. Seeing that their relationship will never be accepted, she decides to escape to Israel with her fiance. Matilda on the other hand clashes endlessly with a man named Celebi, who owns the club where she is forced to work to pay off her daughter's debt. Season 2 will most likely look at Rasel journey while Matilda tries to find her own place in the world, seeing that once again, she is left without a family.

Zeynep Gunay Tan and Seren Yuce are directed Season 1. Zeynep's works include 'Istanbullu Gelin', 'Arkadaslar Iyidir', 'Muhtesem Yüzyil: Kösem', 'Benim Adim Gultepe', 'Kayip', 'Time Goes By', 'Valley of the Wolves: Ambush' and 'Esref Saati'. Seren's works include 'Masum', 'Rüzgarda salinan nilüfer' and 'Majority'.
