What is the plot of 'The Big Cigar'?
The story centers on Huey P Newton, the renowned co-founder of the Black Panther Party who goes on the run after being charged with murder.
In a desperate attempt to flee the US, Newton enlists the aid of renowned Hollywood producer Bert Schneider and comes up with a scheme to establish a fictitious film called 'The Big Cigar,' which he plans to use as a front for his escape to Cuba.
As the narrative goes on, the FBI, which is still pursuing Newton, jeopardizes their escape plan.

The American actor André Holland best known for his performance in the Academy Award-winning movie 'Moonlight' will portray Huey P Newton in the series.
Holland who mainly works in theatre, films, and television, made his acting debut in a 'Law & Order' episode in 2006.
Later that year, he performed in the play 'Blue Door' in three different roles.
He became well-known for his performance in the 2016 blockbuster film 'Moonlight', and since then, he has acted in several productions, like, 'Bones and All', 'Exhibiting Forgiveness', 'American Horror Story: Roanoke' and 'The Eddy' among others.
