MEXICO, NORTH AMERICA: The first installment of 'The Bachelorette' Season 19 finale aired on September 13th, with one man leaving Rachel Recchia. Now that she was ready for the rest of her suitors to meet her family, she learns some hard-hitting truths.

The Season 19 finale of 'The Bachelorette' is unlike any previous finale that viewers have seen before. Both Rachel and Gabby Windey have guys left, however, Rachel has three men to pick from while Gabby only has one. Rachel presents Aven with a rose during the Rose Ceremony, where Zach decides to leave. Later, she takes him to meet his friends and family, where things take a different course than she had anticipated.

Rachel and Aven had a wonderful connection from the beginning, but during the finale, fans observed a "tearful discussion" when Aven meets Rachel's family. The major focus of Aven's meeting with her parents was Aven's readiness to be engaged, which resulted in a sad conversation afterward. During the meet and greet, Aven tells Rachel's pals that he's not sure whether he'll be ready to propose by the conclusion of the show. When questioned about engagement, he says, "I don't know." "But, I am falling in love with her, and my feelings are very strong," Rachel's buddy Nate notices.

Rachel's friends later informed her about Aven's decision and where he stands, prompting her to confront him. Aven wanted to be very certain before taking the next big step in his relationship with Rachel because he didn't want to wind up like his parents (who are separated). Rachel, on the other hand, was taken aback by Aven's current choice not to get engaged, despite the fact that he had previously assured her of his readiness throughout their time together.

After listening to Aven's reasonings, fans were quick to defend him. Some fans felt Rachel's best friend Nate didn't pay attention to what Aven had to say during their conversation: "How did Nate get that aven doesn’t want to be engaged?!!! Hasn’t that been what aven’s said this whole time?? #TheBachelorette #TheBachelorettes." Slamming Rachel for getting mad at Aven, a fan wrote: "#TheBachelorettes Aven is a real one. U cant be mad at him Rachel because he is being honest." Labeling their relationship as toxic, one fan tweeted: "Soooo she rather he'd go in there and fake the funk to her friends and family?? And now she got Aven riled up!! The engagement > than the quality of the relationship This is an argument between a toxic couple. #BachelorNation #TheBachelorettes." Some fans feel Rachel is more focused on getting engaged than having a healthy relationship: "Given the situation Aven is in, I feel like he’s being totally reasonable and saying the right things — Rachel’s focus seems to be more on the engagement than the relationship #bachelorette #thebachelorette."

Some fans were also stunned to see Rachel's BFF, Nate calling Aven a red flag: "Aven: *being very reasonable about engagement* This man: “ !!!” #bachelorette #thebachelorette." Fans feel the maker of show tried to show Aven in a bad light: "Jesse Palmer and producers you will NOT gaslight me into thinking Aven is the villain here. #TheBachelorette." One fan wrote how Rachel misinterpreted Aven communicating to her as yelling: "So Rachel said all she wants is to get engaged, and she thinks Aven avidly expressing how much he loves her is him yelling at her #bachelorette #TheBachelorette." Another fan tweeted the dynamic of Rachel and Aven's relationship: "Rachel:I want a ring. Aven:I want a long lasting relationship Rachel: Red flag! I want a ring. #TheBachelorette."
