The recently aired rose ceremony on 'The Bachelorette' Season 19 managed to trigger a range of emotions amongst the show's audience. From awkward cringing to blind rage, the antics of the suitors and the bachelorettes didn't sit well with the show's fans.

While there's no denying that Rachel Recchia getting rejected thrice by her suitors who favored Gabby Windey more, was extremely disrespectful towards her, fans however felt that the pilot's behavior towards her fellow bachelorette Gabby wasn't respectful either. While both the ladies claim to be best friends, fans couldn't help but notice the subtle shade that Rachel kept throwing at her best friend with her words and actions. From giving her final rose to Hayden Markowitz, who insulted Gabby by calling her "rough around the edges" to dismissing Gabby's feelings of rejection, claiming she was rejected in private, Rachel's actions left fans questioning her true motives.

During the rose ceremony, when Rachel ended up getting rejected by three men back to back, she was feeling down in the dumps and walked away crying. When Gabby tried consoling her by pointing out how she too was rejected and she understood the feeling, Rachel dismissed the ICU nurse saying it was a totally different situation. Rachel felt that her rejection was a lot worse because it was done in public, whereas Gabby was rejected by the men in private during one-on-one interactions. Gabby kept quiet and allowed her best friend to go through her feelings. Later, the two ladies walked out and resumed the rose ceremony. When it was time to hand in their respective final roses, Rachel decided to give hers to Hayden, who openly criticized and insulted Gabby, while trying to express his attraction for Rachel.

Though Gabby didn't say anything to Rachel aside from giving her a subtly side-eye for her choice, fans however took to Twitter to slam Rachel for not having her best friend's back. A fan tweeted, "I don’t know, but if I were Gabby it would really bother me that Rachel kept Hayden after what he said to her. Maybe that’s just me though #TheBachelorette." "Sorry but Rachel picking Hayden was sus AF #TheBachelorette," wrote a fan. "Rachel giving Hayden a rose was sh*tty given how much she talks about being close with Gabby. She should get called on that at some point. #TheBachelorette," observed a fan. "Rachel, for the most part, has been extremely supportive of Gabby. But Gabby’s rejections were public too…literally on national tv. Also, R keeping Hayden after that “rough around the edges” comment shocks me #TheBachelorette #bachelorette," pointed out a fan.

Fans also called out Rachel for being dismissive of Gabby's feelings. A fan shared, "Wow Rachel about to tell Gabby it's not the same thing (the rejection) #TheBachelorette #bachelorette #bachelorettes #bachelornation." "Not Rachel dismissing Gabby’s embarrassment… her rejection was on nation TV too! #TheBachelorette #bachelorette," added a fan. Another fan wondered, "Rachel dismissing Gabby’s feelings with “but you were rejected in private… I was rejected in public” is it a rejection competition? #TheBachelorette."
