Lascelles Lagares and Ashley Rodriguez have been together for 7 years. The longevity, however, came with setbacks and challenges and the couple ended up on 'Temptation Island', hoping to grow as a pair as well as individuals.

For those unaware, the reality dating show is quite simple yet complicated. Couples who are having issues are brought to an island where they share quarters with attractive singletons. Whether the ones who are taken give into temptation and whether or not they chose to remain with their partners by the end form the show. Recent episodes of 'Temptation Island', though filled with enough drama otherwise, seem to often focus on Lascelles, who recently announced that he only wishes to be romantically involved with Trace.

'Temptation Island': Trace upset Lascelles is meeting other girls, fans say 'not ur man'

Episode 6 of 'Temptation Island' Season 4, titled 'Cheers to New Beginnings', saw Lascelles have a rather confusing conversation with Trace, during which he revealed that he wished to leave the island single but with Ashley. The two didn't interact much after that and his first attempt to make things right didn't really work out. Towards the end of the episode, Lascelles directly confessed his feelings for her, asking Trace to be his girlfriend and "future wife." This didn't exactly seem to sit well with fans, who were supportive of Lascelles initially.

"Dang Lascelles, way to throw a seven year relationship down the drain. Ashley will do better than you. You don’t deserve her. #TemptationIsland," a tweet read. "Lascelles is infatuated and he’s not in love with Tracee the one he just met! He is throwing away his seven year relationship for someone he doesn’t even really know #TemptationIsland," read another.

Fans were also quick to notice his inconsistency, pointing at how he changed his mind, tweeting "This man Lascelles just said he wanted to leave the island SINGLE WITH ASHLEY and then 15 minutes later said that TRACE WAS HIS GIRLFRIEND FUTURE WIFE WHAT IS GOING ON????? #TemptationIsland". "Lascelles bro THIS IS NOT WHAT HANIA MEANT!!!!!! This is just so over the top! And tbh I'm really surprised Trace responded positively to that. Idk maybe I'm missing something but that seemed like 6 steps too far. I'd have been telling him to pump his brakes. #TemptationIsland," a fan opined, referring to Hania suggesting that Lascelles be more transparent with Trace.

Tweets in support of Ashley poured in. "Ashley deserves so much more and happiness!! Lascelles and Trace are made for each other, they both SCREAM TOXIC!— @TemptationTV #TemptationIsland," a fan tweeted. Another seconded, tweeting "Ashley... You are a beautiful young stunner entering the prime of your life. For Lascelles to basically say FU so easily after 7 years speaks volumes. Love yourself. You deserve better.#TemptationIsland".

Some were also quite upset with how Lascelles turned his back on Ashley, tweeting, "Oh Lascelles had lost his damn mind he pissed me off Forreal Forreal you have my girl Ashley waste 7 years of her life and you tell a girl you meet a week ago you want to spend the rest of your life with her #TemptationIsland".

So, what did Ashley have to say about this? Tune in next week to find out! Let us know what you think of Lascelles' move in the comments below!

'Temptation Island' airs Wednesdays at 10 pm ET on USA Network.
