‘Tell Me A Story’ Season 2 Episode 8: Could the Pruitt family be the target of a big conspiracy?
As they say, when bad luck strikes it strikes on the entire family at times. Our Pruitt family is also a victim of such bad luck. Despite being famous and one of Nashville’s most influential ones, the Pruitts have been having it quite rough. It started with Ashley Rose’s freak accident and her career going on a hiatus. Then there’s the other daughter, Maddie Pruitt. As if her struggling love life was not hard enough, her wedding gets called off. And finally, we have the son of the family- Jackson Pruitt, who tries his best to prove his talent and position in the family, always finds his life a challenge. But this is all just a basic overview.
As we learn more about each member’s stories, we remain in shock, as do these people themselves. We know Ashley was almost burned to death, or so was the attempt. But we still have no idea why. All speculations about an obsessed fan, rival musician, or a scorned lover have been ruled out. As baffled as the family members are, the constant death threats making them question the possible motives for wanting Ashley dead. And as we saw in the previous episode (7), Ashley's accident was not an "accident" but an ordered hit.
Maddie, on the other hand, might not have been a victim of any physical threat, but broken emotionally. When Olivia Moon turns around and becomes Tucker Reed’s captor, she makes him call off his engagement with Maddie, which breaks her heart. Although Maddie didn’t have to suffer like her sister, she would very soon become aware of her fiancé’s reality which, we are sure, will shatter her.
And then, Ken Morris (Beau’s father) and later his son, are also fatally attacked. Of all these people, Jackson is perhaps the only one without much damage. Or so it seems so far. And as Episode 8 signed off, it became sure to us that there is someone out there who is trying to drive a very strong message to the Pruitts. In fact, a dashboard with their photos, whereabouts, and every dirty secret is revealed. And studying it is Taylor, the random neighbor of the key suspect of Ashley’s accident. But the confused, hapless, blond girl is but someone who will decide the fate of the entire Pruitt family. As the second season of the dark anthology series almost comes to a close, more secrets will come out and leave us in sheer shock.
The question still remains, who is this Taylor and why does she want Ashley dead? This further raises more questions like why would she want to kill the Pruitt kids? Does she have any history with the family?
