Spoilers for 'Ted Lasso' Season 3 Episode 10
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Apple TV+ comedy-drama ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3 focuses a lot on Nate Shelley’s redemption story arc. However, it seems to have ignored a major character. After Nate turns on a new leaf in Season 2, Season 3 highlighted his deep-seated insecurities, motivations and how he started redeeming himself. His sudden departure from Season 3 was an unpleasant surprise for fans. Just like Nate, ‘Ted Lasso’ has other characters with depth but not all of them get a proper story. Jamie is not a small side character in ‘Ted Lasso’. Season 3 focusses on Nate while Jamie's story seems to have taken a backseat. ‘Ted Lasso’ Season 3 Episode 10 features great scenes showing a significant change in Jamie's character, proving how much he has grown since we first saw him. Nate’s story overshadows Jamie
Throughout Season 1, Jamie was portrayed as a selfish and insufferable ladies man. Despite Ted’s efforts, he never tried to be a part of the team. His only goal was to win, resulting in conflicts with other football team players. By the end of Season 1, his behavior improved after his relationship with his father was revealed. This continued in Season 3 as well. All this has gone unnoticed due to Nate’s development.
How has Jamie Tartt changed?
There were many instances that show Jamie has changed for the better. The most noticeable being the change in his relationships with others. He was seen feuding with Roy Kent, Keeley Jones and Sam Obisanya. Keeley, his ex-girlfriend, dumped him for his attitude towards others. In Season 3, they both reconcile after he apologized to her for the way he treated her.
Jamie bullied Sam Obisanya in Season 1 just like Nate. In Season 3, Jamie honors Sam by wearing the number 24, which was the latter's club number. Finally, things between Jamie and his bete noire, Roy, only worsened when the latter started dating Keeley. Despite that, they become close friends in Season 3. They were even referred to as best friends when Jamie gives Roy a thoughtful gift, an England shirt that the latter wore on his international debut. All such gestures show how Jamie has changed a a person.
