LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: There are only so many things that, ‘Ted Lasso’ can do to help us make feel better every time it airs. The American coach at the shores of England, training AFC Richmond is a treat for the sore eyes. He’s witty, goofy and narrates stories that heal a heartache. But in the latest episode of the show, Ted Lasso has given everyone else a chance to untie the knots of their respective challenges and stories. ‘International Break,’ is what Episode 10 of the third season of Ted Lasso is known as where a few AFC Richmond players are off to play for their national teams while the others have stayed back with Ted to resolve all their issues.

The Richmond players left behind do not have the emotional turmoil to attend to except for Sam Obisanya but Rebecaa Welton, Keeley Jones, Roy Kent, and surprisingly an ex-Richmond man and now the former manager of West Ham United, Nathan Shelley are all running to face the challenges that may ruin their lives. Ted who is omnipresent to help them out is an absentee character in this episode, giving the platform to everyone else to shine, solve and rise above their problems. And fortunately, the loose ends are tied up.

Keeley and Roy reignite their flame as Rebecca thrashes the Super League

Keeley has lost her PR company after the funding was pulled by her ex-girlfriend, Jack who was the Venture Capitalist and the investor. She’s in shambles but Rebecca reaches out to help with her money. Roy Kent celebrated Uncle’s Day with his niece and sister but he received the biggest gift from Jamie Tart which was an original England national team jersey with Kent’s name on it. However, Kent writes an apology note which ends with ‘I love you’ for Keeley and tries to drop the note off at her place. She opens the door and the two embrace.

Rebecca is invited to a meeting by her ex-husband to discuss a possibility of the Super League suggested by billionaire Edwin Akufo who tried to poach Sam, Richmon’s striker earlier. Rebecca arrives at the meeting and slams everyone with her speech, calling them greedy and leeches who are on the verge of destroying the beautiful game. Rebecca even rebuffed the advances of her ex-husband. In doing so, Keeley, Kent, and Rebecca, all emerge victorious in solving their personal troubles without Ted.

Edwin can’t hurt Sam and Nathan becomes a violinist

Edwin is on a mission to destroy Sam’s life. Firstly, he wants to end his restaurant business, and second by bribing the Nigerian government to put Sam’s name out of the national team. But Sam has the support of his team especially Jamie who wears a jersey with Sam’s number 24 when he makes his debut for England. Nate Shelley finally confronts his father about his atrocities. All Nate wanted was to play the violin and all his father ever wanted was his son to be worthy. Nate fought hard to turn a lead and lived for his father’s acceptance but now he’s free from it. He’s also no longer the manager of West Ham United.

The show has tied a lot of loose ends in this episode but it remains to be seen what will happen to Ted, the star and the true protagonist of the show.
