Sylvester Stallone returns as Gabe Walker in 'Cliffhanger' sequel after 30 years
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sylvester Stallone, the iconic actor who played a prominent role in the 'Rocky' franchise, is coming back to the big screen with a sequel to the '90s action thriller, ‘Cliffhanger’. His role as Gabriel "Gabe" Walker, a search-and-rescue mountain climber, is expected to be reprised with jaw-dropping stunts and heart-pounding action.
Ric Roman Waugh, the director of 'Angel Has Fallen' and 'Greenland,' will direct the film, with Mark Biancolli writing the script. The producer of the 'Fast and Furious' series, Neal H Moritz's Original Film, will be making this film in collaboration with Rocket Science, along with Stallone and Braden Aftergood's Balboa Productions.

The plot revolves around a mid-air heist going awry where an ex-Ranger and mountain climber, Gabe Walker, rescues stranded hikers, saves his kidnapped friends, and retrieves the stolen money from the treacherous Rocky Mountains. Gabe struggles to survive against ruthless criminals after being betrayed by his own team. The movie is a complete package of a thrilling race against time. Alongside Stallone, the movie starred Michael Rooker, John Lithgow, Rex Linn, and Janine Turner.

The original ‘Cliffhanger’ was directed by Renny Harlin from a script written by Stallone where the renowned action hero had to face his fear of heights to pull off the stunts.
