LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: With the third and final season around the corner, fans of Netflix's 'Sweet Home' are beaming with anticipation for a big showdown.

It is based on the Naver webtoon of the same name by Kim Carnby and Hwang Young-chan. The show is set in an apocalyptic world and centers around Cha Hyun-su (Song Kang), a depressed high school dropout who moves into the Green Home apartment complex following a terrible family tragedy.

Hyun-su gained monstrous abilities in season 1, such as enhanced regeneration and possibly superhuman strength.

However, he keeps his human consciousness while enduring excruciating pain during transformations, in contrast to the majority of infected residents.

On the other hand, Hyun-su is not the primary focus of the majority of Season 2 of the show and only appears in a few episodes.

Hyun-su reappears near the end of the sixth episode, but not in his human form, and though he appears more monstrous, he still seems to be in control.

While Hyun-su is a monster, he poses no threat to other humans. However, in the most upcoming season, his destiny as a neo-human will be put to the test as he has to chose a side among humans and monsters.

Hyun-su will face a difficult decision between humans and monsters in Season 3 of 'Sweet Home'.

Hyun-su is a "neo-human," an individual who exists in two different worlds because of his monster curse, which gives him the ability to change certain parts of his body and occasionally lose control of his hideous alter ego while maintaining his humanity and agency.

The conflict between humans and monsters grows as neo-humans become more prevalent, and individuals like Ui-myeong (Kim Sung-cheol) strive for neo-human supremacy.

As the protagonist of the show and presumably the 'chosen one,' Hyun-su must negotiate this rapidly intensifying conflict.

Perhaps Hyun-su will have to find equilibrium despite the remote possibility of a peaceful outcome given the military's goal to exterminate all monsters and the aspirations of neo-humans to seize power.

Whom will Cha Hyun-su gonna choose in 'Sweet Home' Season 3?

The second season of the show ended on a cliffhanger, with Hyun-su's monster side taking over his body, setting the stage for high-octane drama in the upcoming season.

Hyun-su is a neo-human, which means he does not belong to either humans or monsters, forcing him to choose a side in the upcoming season.

Let's assume what happens if Hyun-su joins the monsters. It is possible that Hyun-su's joining the monsters will strengthen the faction, providing them with a powerful ally with unique abilities and insights, potentially tipping the power balance in their favor.

On the other hand, if he chooses to side with humans, his abilities can assist humans in defeating monsters and successfully saving the lives of their loved ones.

Overall, it doesn't matter who Hyun-su chooses as what matters is now his decision that will serve as a catalyst for change, potentially intensifying the conflict between humans and monsters.
