LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: As anticipation builds for the release of 'Sweet Home' Season 3 on Netflix, fans are eager to see if the new season can redeem the series after the lukewarm reception of its predecessor.

Scheduled to premiere on July 19, 2024, this South Korean apocalyptic thriller continues to captivate audiences with its intense action and gripping horror elements.

Season 3 promises to delve deeper into the chaotic and perilous landscape that defines the series, with returning cast members Song Kang, Lee Jin-wook, Lee Si-young, Park Gyu-young, Go Min-si, Kim Hee-jung, and Kim Gook-hee leading the charge.

One of the key questions surrounding the new season is whether it can compensate for the absence of fan-favorite actor Lee Do-hyun.

What is the impact of Eun-hyuk's absence on 'Sweet Home' Season 2?

'Sweet Home' Season 2 felt very different from the first season, mainly because it introduced many new characters and sidelined those viewers were familiar with. Even Song Kang’s character, Hyun-su, missed many episodes and became more of a supporting character.

Without many fan-favorite characters from Season 1, Season 2 was not as well received. The absence of Lee Do-hyun’s character, Eun-hyuk, was particularly felt since he was the leader of the Green Home survivors.

The series couldn't follow the same structure as the first season since the Green Home was destroyed. The characters had to find new places to stay, ending up in a stadium.

This new setting also brought in new faces. However, the dynamic in the stadium wasn't as interesting as the one in the Green Home, making Season 2 less captivating for fans.

This left us wondering whether 'Sweet Home' Season 3 will give attention to Lee Do-hyun's character.

The new trailer for 'Sweet Home' Season 3 puts the spotlight on Lee Do-hyun’s character, Eun-hyuk, who appears several times. This is a big change from the first trailer, where he only appeared in the background. The promotional material for Season 3 had kept Eun-hyuk's role hidden, but now, fans get a clear look at his return.

Although his comeback was confirmed at the end of Season 2, his prominence in the new trailer is exciting for viewers. 'Sweet Home' Season 2 was quite different from the first season. It introduced many new characters and sidelined familiar ones.

Eun-hyuk was believed to be dead after sacrificing himself to save his friends. He stayed behind in the Green Home building, which was about to be destroyed, and was seen bleeding from his nose. Many fans speculated that he might still be alive, and their theories were confirmed in the final scene of Season 2.

Eun-hyuk was indeed alive, but he had turned into a monster. Now, with Season 3, Eun-hyuk’s story continues, and his transformation into a monster adds a new twist. The trailer’s focus on him suggests he will play a significant role, much to the delight of fans who missed his presence in the second season.
