LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Apple TV+'s latest mystery series 'Sugar' has set the stage for a nail-biting thrill in its first two episodes released on April 5, 2024.

It features Golden Globe recipient Colin Farrell in the titular role of private detective John Sugar who takes up the missing person case of 25-year-old Olivia Siegel (Sydney Chandler), the granddaughter of Hollywood's legendary producer Jonathan Siegel (James Cromwell).

Investigating the case leads John Carter to mysterious people: Carmen Vasquez and Clifford Carter (both already dead). While we have already explored Clifford Carter's profile previously, let's delve deeper into the enigma around Carmen Vasquez.

Carmen Vasquez, 27, a resident of Los Angeles met a tragic end a few weeks ago. Through a simple search of the Internet, John Sugar finds out that she was raped and murdered at her residence in LA.

The concluding scene of 'Sugar' Episode 2 reveals that Carmen had physical relationships with Carter. It is established during a scene where in search of Carter, his brother visits Carmen's sister and issues her threats.

Carter's brother remains oblivious to his own demise, yet harbors suspicions that something sinister occurred, potentially involving Carmen. With Carmen's death, he now seeks answers from her sister.

In 'Sugar' Episode 2, John Sugar finds out that Olivia made repeated trips to Carmen's residence a week before she disappeared. The mystery deepens as it is revealed that Olivia's car was near Carmen's residence the day she was killed.

The connection between Olivia, Carter, and Carmen is deeper and quite twisted, which is yet to be unfolded in upcoming episodes. With Carter's dead body found in Olivia's car, we wonder what truly happened on the night of Carmen's murder and if Olivia is a witness to the brutal crime.

Mystery around Olivia's potential involvement in Carter's murder is also waiting to be discovered as the series progresses.
