Stray Kids have been the most talked-about group amongst 4th generation K-pop acts worldwide. They rose to popularity as boys who made ‘noise music’ and used that as their USP - Ultimate Selling Power. The term ‘noise music’ was used as an insult but 4th generation K-pop groups have owned that kind of music and made it one of the most loved genres at the moment in K-pop.

The song ‘Back Door’ served as a title track to Stray Kids’ repackaged album, ‘IN Life’ released on September 14, 2020. On August 26, almost a year after its release, ‘Back Door’ joined Stray Kids’ “200 million club” on YouTube to become their second video to do so. Their first ever song to reach 200 million views on YouTube was ‘God’s Menu’ which seemed to have surprising effects on everyday listeners because of Felix’s verse. ‘Back Door’ seemingly has the same effect when fans hear 20-year-old Felix say, “Hey you wanna come in?” in his extremely deep voice.

About ‘Back Door’

The song ‘Back Door’ acts as a celebration song that is a gift to Stays and other fans of K-Pop. Stray Kids welcome viewers and ask them to join their party as they celebrate the success of ‘God’s Menu.’ The music and lyrics are festive and talk about celebration and a party where people are meant to enjoy the beats the song offers. The title ‘Back Door’ also means the act of entering a place that is forbidden for the general public making the song special to Stays as they are the only ones invited to the party. This definitely did not throw away casual listeners as the song has now garnered a lot of attention.

Stray Kids are definitely here to stay with their Stays as they have made a ‘thunderous’ comeback with their latest release, ‘NOEASY.’ As of August 26, ‘NOEASY’ is the Number 1 album on iTunes Worldwide Albums chart and held on to the position since the last three days following its release. The title track, ‘Thunderous’ is also rocking the charts as it is holding its spot in the Top 5 among Worldwide Songs chart on iTunes. It debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Worldwide Song charts as of August 23 and broke the record for charting in 52 regions simultaneously including regions like the USA, Australia, and Singapore. It also ranked 104th on the Spotify Global Top 200 Chart, breaking Stray Kids’ own record for their best debut song.

The new album 'NOEASY' also topped the Hanteo’s Daily Album chart and Gaon's Retail Album Daily chart side by side on the day of its release. This regular album recorded 930,000 pre-orders, followed by sales of 355,946 copies based on the Hanteo Chart in one day.

Back Door 200M authorized

Stays celebrated reaching 200 million and trend ‘Back Door 200M Authorized’ on Twitter because Seungmin posted a message for fans. In the message, he added a wordplay from the song’s lyrics saying, “No unauthorized personnel, this is the back door. But you are all authorized personnel.” Fans were happy with this and started inviting other fans using another lyric from the song, “Hey you wanna come in?”

Here is more from what fans have to say about this achievement. One fan said, "Felix finally reached the peak of 200M times saying "hey, you wanna come in" a moment for the history books. BACK DOOR 200M AUTHORIZED." Another fan said, "Hey! You wanna come in? BACK DOOR 200M AUTHORIZED." while one more said, "What a good news that I saw here."
