'Station 19' Season 4 Episode 8: Is Vic dating the captain who got Travis' husband killed? Fans share theories
It seemed that Vic (Barrett Doss) was finally in for a well-deserved run of good luck in her love life, quite literally on 'Station 19', with fellow firefighter Theo (Carlos Miranda). We saw the two finally catch up with each other, after circling around their attraction with their early morning jogs.
Theo, in what fans found an adorable moment, even turned up at 'Station 19' with flowers for Vic. In what is the ultimate declaration of wanting to take things further in these times of the coronavirus, they even discussed when their next Covid-19 test was. With both their tests scheduled for the same day, it seemed to be yet another sign that things were moving in the right direction.
However, ABC's official synopsis of the upcoming episode says something quite different. The official description reads, “Vic’s love life is complicated again as she learns of a shocking secret.”

The horrified look on Vic's best friend Travis' (Jay Hayden) face when he sees Theo in the trailer has led to several theories from fans. While some fans felt that this was a former lover of Travis with who things had gone drastically wrong, the majority felt that this could be the firefighter who was responsible for the death of Travis' husband Michael.
Michael passed away in a workplace accident after he was given the wrong instructions by his newly-appointed captain. One fan on YouTube said, "That guy is either an ex-lover or the Captain who made a bad call and Michael died."
Another fan on YouTube said, "I think that guy could be the captain whose mistake killed Travis’ husband. Travis told Sullivan that the mistake was made by a young captain who didn’t know what he was doing. He also said that he had been hired recently. I mean it’s written all over Travis’ face. That guy had to have something to do with Michael’s death. I just don’t see him freaking out about an ex like that. His face seemed much more serious."
Another less popular theory was that Theo has some connection with Travis' dad who has just come out of the closet. One fan said, "Now I'm thinking why Travis Dad came to visit him." Another said, "The former captain that got Travis' husband killed, a former bully, or possibly connected to Travis' dad."
Keeping with the dysfunctional family theme, some wondered if Theo could even be Travis' brother.
