How long will 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Station 19' fans have to bear the meaningless Jackson-Vic crossover ship?
'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Station 19' fans are furious. Ever since the medical drama came back from its winter break, the showrunners have been looping in a crossover every week, especially with the new couple Jackson Avery (Jesse Williams) and Victoria 'Vic' Hughes (Barrett Doss) on the block.
In this week's episode crossover, Jackson invited Vic to dinner with his family, Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr) and Catherine Fox (Debbie Allen) — oh, and also, his ex-girlfriend Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary). To make matter worse, Vic brought Dean Miller (Okieriete Onaodowan) along. “Did you know they were bringing dates to dinner?” Catherine asked Richard privately before they broke the news of their split. Of course, it had to be awkward for everyone.
Bored with repetitive love triangles and breakups, fans can't stop wondering until when they will have to tolerate the meaningless relationship between Jackson and Vic.
"Am I the only one who thinks that Vic is dating Jackson so that Station 19 characters have more cross overs into Grey’s Anatomy only to get more audience on that show?" one fan posted on Twitter. Another wrote, "There was no reason for Jackson and Maggie. Throwing Jackson and Vic together was just a lazy attempt to connect the shows. Now we have Jackson, a world-class plastic surgeon, wandering around a random ass fire station like a lost puppy."
One viewer had an entire rant ready. "Am I the only one who doesn’t like Jackson and Vic? Like ok, Jaggie was boring but Jackson literally got with someone else 2 seconds after they broke up. And I mean Maggie meant a lot to him, it’s even one of the reasons why April and he didn’t get back together. I really haven’t like Jackson’s behavior for the past 2 seasons. There are literally no characters on Grey's left to root for. And the crossovers with a show I don't watch just make it worse. I miss April. Firing Sarah Drew was one of the biggest mistakes this show ever made."
Many have simply labeled the crossovers as "annoying." "Yall Station 19 is not Grey’s Anatomy and honestly not even good — please STOP with the desperate cross overs. Don't watch that show and I am not interested in it," one tweet read as another said, "No more of Station 19 crap on Grey's Anatomy. Is so annoying at this point, y'all are about to completely merge these two shows together. That is really whats ruined Season 16 for me."
What's more, many fans are begging showrunners not to bring Maggie and Jackson together again. "I really hope they won't bring Jackson and Maggie back together after the horrible mess they made that proved they're not a good couple. Even tho I'm not a Maggie fan, she deserves better. Jackson's become the worst."
Both, 'Station 19' and 'Grey's Anatomy' will premiere next Thursday on ABC at 8 pm ET and 9 pm ET respectively and the creators really need to put a full stop to the crossovers.
