Sorn ‘Sharp Objects’: Release date, concept and all about her 1st solo comeback
Fans were first excited when Sorn shared that she had signed on with her new label WILD Entertainment and would soon release new music. Well, she has released a teaser image for her latest single ‘Sharp Objects’. It is her second single following her solo debut with ‘RUN’ in March 2021. And it looks like the former CLC member is going all out for her first comeback.
While ‘RUN’ was a peppy and upbeat pop song, the Thai-born K-pop idol is ready to show fans a new side to her with her first solo comeback. Sorn is experimenting with electronic music as ‘Sharp Objects’ is a dance song with synth-pop elements. The energetic song has an addictive rhythm and powerful beat drops. In the all-English single, Sorn sings about love being dangerous, comparing it to sharp objects. With catchy lyrics, the anthemic song has the soloist expressing her emotions with lines like, “I’m not afraid, I play with sharp objects,” and “I can take a papercut with no band-aid.”

Concept
Unlike her fun and cheery solo debut, it looks like Sorn is taking a darker route for her first comeback. The K-pop idol dropped a concept photo of her sporting black lipstick and dark eye makeup with a blonde, tousled hair look. She pairs it with a fur coat and glamorous rhinestoned choker as she intently stares at the mirror. With the K-pop idol promising to show a mature side to her, fans couldn't help but find parallels with the HBO show 'Euphoria' and its blingy aesthetic. Sorn also hints at an intense music video as she plays with colors and lights to portray the different emotions of love.
