She then playfully addressed the speculation by singing Taylor Swift’s hit song 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,' reinforcing her stance in a light-hearted manner. This amusing moment had the host laughing uncontrollably.
Meri and Kody Brown’s relationship began in the early 1990s when they married in 1990. Meri was Kody's first wife in a polygamous family, and she was part of his "spiritual" marriages to his other wives.
In 2014, Meri and Kody legally divorced to allow Kody to marry his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, so he could adopt her children. Despite the legal divorce, Meri and Kody remained "spiritually married" for several years. She admitted having difficulty trusting her own instincts and often rationalizing situations instead of listening to her gut feelings. I will tend to rationalize the reason I should trust myself in a certain situation, and really my gut knows.”
Meri concluded by urging people to be courageous and authentic with themselves, noting that embracing self-trust ultimately leads to greater personal empowerment. “It’s almost about having the courage to be true and authentic to myself, to be able to do and say the things that I know that I need to do,” she advised.
