When it comes to dating rumors, if there is one group that has never been on the radar of K-pop fans, it is GOT7. Over their last few years in the industry, the boy group has never had a dating scandal that they had to defend themselves against until GOT7's Jackson Wang was linked up with (G)I-dle's Chinese-born member Yuqi. As soon as the rumor surfaced, fans started sharing their support for the two, especially Jackson, who was linked with someone for the first time in years.
However, the 'Blow' singer wasn't letting the rumors get the best of him. Jackson immediately put an end to speculations when his team - Team Wang - threatened legal action against those spreading false dating rumors. Now, months after the fiasco, GOT7's sunshine Youngjae is the next idol from the boy group to be embroiled in dating rumors. On June 27, Korean media outlets like Wikitree reported that Youngjae has been in a relationship with soloist Lovey (Kim Hyesu) for the last year.

Is GOT7's Youngjae dating Lovey?
Dating rumors are not new in the K-pop industry but when it comes to popular idols from well-known boy or girl groups, idols handle the rumors with a lot of caution. In the article released on Wikitree, it was reported that Youngjae (aka Choi Youngjae) has been dating 29-year-old singer Lovey, who has been seen with the idol on various occasions. Lovey is a former project group member of CSVC from the label Independent. Soon after the project group came to an end, the singer debuted as a soloist under the same company.
Due to her popularity as an indie artist, Lovey has participated in writing the lyrics of Youngjae's song 'Drive Me To The Moon' from GOT7's recent eponymous album, 'GOT7'. The single was credited to Ars, which is Youngjae's pseudonym, and Kim Hyesu, which is Lovey's birth name. The report also revealed that Lovey was recently spotted at 'GOT7 Homecoming 2022 Fan-Con' held on May 21 and 22 upon Younjae's invitation. Lovey was seen at the event on May 22. The two also worked together on other projects when Youngjae participated in Lovey's single 'We Hurry'.
Youngjae's label denies the rumors
Youngjae's label Sublime Artist Agency quickly released a statement to clear the air. On June 27, hours after the rumor went viral, Sublime stated that the rumors about Youngjae were baseless and completely untrue. They added that Youngjae and Lovey were musical colleagues who collaborated on projects and have been supporting each other's activities. The instant intervention put an end to all rumors and has fans supporting the label for protecting Youngjae.
