When Bradley Cooper, who is otherwise popularly known for his 'Hangover' franchise, joined the MCU as a voice actor for a 'space raccoon,' fans lost their calm. In 2014, the star was seen doing the voice of Rocket, the scruffy, raccoon-like space alien in 'Guardians of a Galaxy'.

It was a mere side role but Cooper didn't mind it as being part of MCU is extremely prestigious as it now has a cult-like fan base. Till now, Cooper has starred in five of the Marvel movies ('Guardians of the Galaxy,' 'Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2,' 'Avengers: Infinity War,' 'Avengers: Endgame,' and 'Thor: Love and Thunder') and will also star in several upcoming projects, namely, 'I am Groot,' 'The Guardian of the Galaxy Holiday Special.' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3'.

Rocket Raccoon is a genetically enhanced creature and a member of the 'Guardians of the Galaxy'. In 'Guardians of the Galaxy,' (2014) Rocket is seen alongside his friend and partner Groot (Vin Diesel). Rocket traveled the galaxy, committing crimes and picking up bounties until they met Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), who convinced them to assist him in selling the Orb for a massive profit. However, as it was discovered that the Orb, being sought by Ronan the Accuser, was one of the Infinity Stones. Rocket was convinced to risk everything to stop Ronan's plans to destroy Xandar. During the ensuing conflict, Rocket managed to assist his friends in destroying Ronan, despite Groot being "killed." Rocket then became a member of the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' alongside the newly planted "baby Groot" as Groot has the ability to ressurect his being from a sapling.

In 'Guardians of the Galaxy Volume: 2',(2017) Rocket continued working with the Guardians when they were hired by the Sovereign to slay the Abilisk. However, Rocket took the job as a way to steal Anulax Batteries with the intention to later sell them. This angered Ayesha, causing her to declare war on the Guardians and hire the Ravagers to capture them. Rocket and Groot were soon captured by Taserface under Yondu Udonta's command, forcing Rocket and Udonta to work together in order to break free and kill Taserface. During his time with Udonta, Rocket learned how to better himself and wishing to save his Guardians family, joined Udonta during the Battle on Ego's Planet. Although he was in a side role in the two 'Guardian of the Galaxy' movies, he was integral to the plot.

In 'Avengers: Infinity War' (2018) the Guardians rescued Thor (Chris Hemsworth) after four years as the Asgardians were slaughtered by Thanos, who had resumed his quest for the Infinity Stones himself. The Guardians had split up while the rest of the team returned to Knowhere to find the Reality Stone, Rocket and Groot accompanied Thor to Nidavellir to obtain the weapon Stormbreaker. Using the Bifrost Bridge, the trio traveled to Earth to join the Battle of Wakanda, where he fought alongside Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan). Their efforts to stop Thanos were unsuccessful, and Rocket was one of the only Guardians to survive Thanos' subsequent mass slaughter, along with Nebula. Rocket joined the Avengers on their trip to the Garden, where Thor decapitated Thanos. He started coming to the forefront from this film onwards.

In 2019's 'Avengers: Endgame,' it is shown that Rocket spent the next five years under the command of Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johanson). In the year 2023 of the movie, it is shown they finally decipher how to traverse through time.Thor and Rocket travel back in time to 2013 when Thor's mom was still alive to extract the aether from Jane in Asgard. Rocket participated in the Battle of Earth to restore everything against an alternate Thanos and his army. After attending Iron Man's funeral, Rocket left the Avengers and rejoined the Guardians, as his duties were done on Earth so he returned to his cosmic adventures alongside the Guardians. He is also starring in 'I am Groot' on Disney+ which only highlights the fact that since 'Avengers: Endgame,' he has made it into the limelight.
