'Riverdale' season 4: Five unsolved plotlines from Season 3 that needs to be answered in the upcoming installment

Season 3 ended with a bunch of plot holes almost impossible to ignore and the new season (rumored to the final one) will hopefully fill the gaps.

'Riverdale' season 4 is set to take its audience on another wild ride. The teen drama ended with an ominous scene of spring break featuring Archie (KJ Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) in bloodied clothes standing around a bonfire, leaving its viewers hanging. That's not all. Season 3 ended with a bunch of plot holes almost impossible to ignore and the new season (rumored to the final one) will hopefully fill the gaps when it gets rolling. Ahead of the season premiere, we made a list of unanswered questions:

If Archie and Veronica are back together, where does that leave Reggie?

Pfft for good? (IMDb)

Reggie Mantle (Charles Melton) has been Veronica's Man Friday. He has been instrumental in helping her plot revenge against her father, Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos), to make him pay for his criminal deeds. Veronica's relationship with Archie was on the rocks and with Reggie, her relationship was purely physical and despite the casual start, it looked like the duo started becoming serious about each other. The series finale, however, sees Archie and Veronica get back together. So where does the leave poor Reggie?  Hopefully, season 4 may get him a new love interest.

Where is Mia Penelope?

The criminal mastermind off the grid. (IMDb)

The end of season 3 saw the teens discover that Penelope Blossom (Nathalie Boltt) was the criminal mastermind behind forming the Black Hood and the Gargoyle King. She manipulated Hal Cooper (Lochlyn Munro) and Chic (Hart Denton) to play the parts respectively and terrorize the town. While she failed in the attempt, she wasn't caught and fans are in the dark about her whereabouts. Will the kingpin return in the new season?

What about The Farm?

The nefarious cult seemingly vanished by the end of the season. The Farm was a major part of the series in season 3 and had a majority of Riverdale as it's members. From Alice, Polly, and Cheryl to Kevin and Fangs, the disturbing place had brainwashed the people of Riverdale. They were in fact into the organ-stealing business. It was revealed Alice was an informant for the FBI, and Penelope bought organs the cult was harvesting, but before the FBI could round up The Farm, they disappeared. It remains to be seen if they reappear in season 4.

Where is Ricky?

Ricky DeSantos (Nico Bustamante) appeared in season 3 as a young kid who befriends Jellybean Jones and is heavily influenced by the freak G&G game. Last we saw, he was tied up in a forest and it's unclear if the G&G gang have freed the lad or left him for dead. Season 4 can hopefully shed light on what happened to the young boy.

That Spring break scene

Where's Jug? (The CW)

Something's gone horribly wrong. Jughead is missing in that scene but we do see the trio of talking by the bonfire tossing their clothes, including Jug's beanie. They vow to never talk about the event and we have no idea what's going on. Leaving it up to season 4 to explain this whole scenario.

'Riverdale' season 4 premieres Wednesday 8 pm on The CW.
