‘Real Housewives of Dallas’ Season 4 finale preview: Mamma Dee warns D’Andra that her old-age care is going to be 'very expensive'
Season 4 of 'RHOD' saw D'Andra Simmons struggle to keep the family business afloat after finally getting full control of it from her mother, Mamma Dee. The past few seasons we saw the housewife beg her mother to hand over the business to her, but Mamma Dee always resisted. Finally, when she did hand it over, the business was, unfortunately, running in heavy loss. So, D'Andra had to immediately get to work to save their family legacy. She took a pay cut, let go off the staff, and also met fellow housewife Stephanie Hollman's husband Travis for some guidance on how to go about the sticky situation she was in. The housewife even mustered all her courage and went up to her mother to request a loan from the family trust-fund to save their business, but Mamma Dee being a shrewd businesswoman that she is, refused to loan her the money, leaving D'Andra feeling hurt.
The sneak peek clip for the upcoming finale episode shows, D'Andra showing her mother the new website she created for their business and discusses all the steps she took to turn the business around, Mamma Dee definitely looked surprised and impressed with her daughter's grit and skills. The housewife then broached the subject of loan and told her mother about how hurt she felt when her own mother refused to loan her money and didn't trust her enough with the money. Mamma Dee patiently heard out her daughter's feelings, and then reminded the housewife that she is 79 years old and sometime in the future she will need someone to stay full time with her to care for her. She also added that such care comes at a very high price tag. D'Andra quickly retorted by telling her mother that there is enough money to loan her the amount she asked for and to manage her mother's healthcare expenses. We are yet to hear Mamma Dee's response to that.
This left us wondering if everything is okay with the Simmons family trust fund. We have been hearing since forever about the trust fund, and about how the money in the fund would come to D'Andra once Mamma Dee is no more. But after hearing the statement of Mamma Dee expressing concern if she would be able to afford full-time care during her old age, left us wondering if there is more to the "trust fund" than what meets the eye. Did Mamma Dee manage to blow up all the money or is she simply withholding it from her daughter? We will just have to watch the series to get our answers.
