'RHOA' Season 15: Kim Zolciak and Cynthia Bailey make a comeback as 'friends' of the housewives
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' Season 15 will premiere on Bravo on Sunday, May 7 at 8 pm ET. Cynthia Bailey and Kim Zolciak both appear in the tense 'RHOA' Season 15 trailer, where Kenya Moore, Marlo Hampton, and the rest of your favorite peach holders are at odds.
The first glimpse at 'RHOA' Season 15 is here and it appears to be the craziest season yet! Bravo released the explosive trailer for the new season of the reality series on March 30, featuring the return of housewives Kandi Burruss, Marlo, Kenya, Sanya Richards-Ross, Drew Sidora, and Sheree Whitfield, as well as cameos from former cast members Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Cynthia Bailey, Lisa Wu, and DeShawn Snow. According to Bravo, Monyetta Shaw-Carter and Courtney Rhodes will also appear as "friends" of the housewives this season. So, what does the new season has to offer?

Cast shocked at Drew and Ralph split
Season 15 of 'RHOA' is going to be packed with drama! The trailer, which was released on March 30, includes a lot of conflict between the returning housewives. The new season, which debuts on May 7, will focus on Drew's divorce from Ralph Pittman. In the trailer, Drew and Ralph attend couple's counseling, and Drew discloses that "Ralph has moved out of the bedroom." When Ralph suggests divorce, she states she has "no more tears to cry."
Drew and Ralph divorced in March 2023, shortly after the season finished shooting. However, Bravo returned cameras to capture the fallout, some of which is shown in the trailer. When the other women read about Drew's split in the news, they are taken aback. Drew also gives a candid interview in which she sobs as she prepares to discuss her breakup. "I can’t do this," she adds, sobbing.
Of course, there's a lot of conflict in the trailer with all the other Atlanta ladies. As their rivalry from last season heats up, Marlo instructs Kandi to "go cry." "The only reason why I’m crying right now is because I can’t choke ur a**, b****," Kandi tells Marlo.
Marlo also begins conflict with Drew, calling her a "deranged wannabe actress." Kenya gives the women a picture of her possible new beau, and Marlo discloses she supposedly has a history with him. "I went on a date with him before. He popped my cherry," she says. We also get a look at the cast trip to Portugal, which is organized by Sheree and features even more drama. Monyetta Shaw returns as a "Friend Of," joined by newcomer Courtney Rhodes.
Cynthia Bailey and Kim Zolciak make epic comeback
Of course, we can't forget about the return of Cynthia, who departed the program after Season 13. Following her divorce from Mike Hill, she'll be returning to the series, as she hinted at BravoCon. Kim is also returning to the program for the first time since Season 10 as a "Friend Of."
Kim appeared on 'RHOA' in its early days, but the "Tardy For the Party" performer is still a favorite of many RHOA admirers. She was a cast member on 'RHOA' for the first five seasons, alongside Kandi Burruss, Phaedra Parks, Cynthia, Kenya, and Porsha Williams. She left the program before the sixth season began. Kim returned to 'RHOA' for a cameo appearance in the show's ninth season. She reappeared as a housewives' friend in Season 10, which was broadcast in 2017 and 2018. Kim opened up her Instagram in February 2023 to fan queries, which she addressed on her Instagram stories. "Would you ever go back on Real Housewives full-time[?]" one person inquired, and she looked to be undecided. "Hmmm thinking... full time," she said, according to All About the Tea, with a facial palm emoticon. While she seemed to rule out returning as a full-time housewife, she was receptive to the notion of making a cameo. "Maybe make an appearance," she suggested.
Cynthia, on the other hand, revealed in December 2022 that she is returning to the popular Bravo program, but only as a friend of the group. Cynthia was first featured in Season 3 of the Atlanta-based show. She was preparing to marry Peter Thomas, dealing with money difficulties, attempting to resurrect her profession as a runway model, and juggling her family life. Cynthia's first few seasons were sluggish as she tried to find her foothold among the women. Cynthia eventually discovered her "backbone," as some call it, and became a propelling force. Cynthia left the program after Season 13 of 'RHOA'. She had recently married Mike Hill and was residing in Los Angeles to support Mike's broadcasting job. Cynthia and Mike divorced earlier this year after less than two years of marriage. After the divorce, the pair openly expressed their affection for each other and insisted that nothing scandalous occurred. Cynthia's return to the ATL, and thus her comeback to 'RHOA', coincided with their split.
Season 15 of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' premieres Sunday, May 7, at 8 pm ET on Bravo.
