RHOA's Sheree Whitfield breaks down after dad's death, reminds fans to 'cherish' their loved ones
CLEVELAND, OHIO: Reality TV star Sheree Whitfield announced on Wednesday that she has been "missing in action" from social media for a while because of the death of her father. The ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ cast member broke the news to her fans on Instagram, stating that she needs time to grieve and process the loss. Whitfield's father, whose name is not known, had been battling an illness. She expressed her gratitude for the support and love shown to her by fans and friends during this difficult time.
Whitfield, who first appeared on 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' in 2008, is known for her fiery personality and memorable catchphrases. She has since gone on to start her own clothing line, She by Sheree, and has been involved in several business ventures.

Whitfield, in her post, wrote, "Sorry boos, I been MIA due to the passing of my dad 💔. So thankful for all the text, cards, flowers, etc. My family and I really appreciate everyone who reached out 🫶🏽. Always remember to cherish your family and friends 🙏🏽." Although there is not much known about her parents, it was evident that he held a title in the Military. Along with a heartfelt message, Whitfield also shared an old picture of her father, possibly from his military days, along with a short clip of the funeral which followed the standard protocol of the United States Military Funeral Honors, which included the folding and presentation of the American flag to the next of kin, a three-volley salute by a firing party, and the playing of Taps. The clip also revealed her holding a red rose for her father at the funeral making it a very emotional goodbye.

She then said that she hopes to return soon and share more of her life with her fans, but for now, she needs to focus on healing and honoring her father's memory. Some fans also pointed out that her son resembles her father. They commented, " Her son looks just like him!
