MEXICO: For most people, the idea of meeting someone new, falling in love, and then getting engaged within a span of two months might seem wild and crazy. But this is exactly the premise of ABC's hit dating show- 'The Bachelorette'!

So when Jason Alabaster, one of the suitors on the ongoing season 19 of 'The Bachelorette' began expressing his hesitation about getting engaged to Gabby Windey after just knowing her for two weeks, fans began having mixed feelings about it. While some fans felt that Jason was being realistic in expressing his hesitation about rushing into engagement after knowing a person for very little time, others felt that he shouldn't have signed up for the show considering getting engaged is the end goal.

A fan who sided with Jason tweeted, "How can we expect Jason is ready to propose after two solo dates! Two! Think about it! #readynotready #thebachelorette." Another fan wrote, "Jason! Just because you signed up for something doesn't mean you can't express your feeling or decide #TheBachelorette is not for them! These people are not robots with their own heart involved too!" "Unpopular opinion: it's ok that Johnny and Jason aren't ready for that kind of commitment after 2 months. #TheBachelorette," echoed a fan. "Jason is truly just being realistic when he says he can’t see himself getting engaged so quickly but this show is gonna vilify him for it to no end #TheBachelorette," pointed out a fan.

Many other fans questioned Jason's intentions of joining a dating show that's centred around engagement and marriage, when he wasn't ready for it. A fan shared, "Jason can’t even say he’s falling for Gabby. He waiting until after the show to “see if it can be something real” I understand that it’s how it goes I’m the real world, but this The Bachelor and I’m not happy with that answer. #bachelorette #TheBachelorette." "I am not feeling Jason at all, if u had concerns y r u waiting until now, u should have said something at your hometown or even the week before if u knew u were not ready for an engagement #TheBachelorette #bachelorette," wondered a fan. "LISTEN I know Jason is a completely normal person who understands the time restraints of this show are unrealistic but THIS ISNT A REALISTIC SHOW ALRIGHT #TheBachelorette," pointed out a fan. "I love Jason but there is no room for thinking reasonably in this show, you have to fall in love and be ready for an engagement in 3 weeks time #TheBachelorette," seconded a fan. "You come on the bachelor/bachelorette bc you’re ready to get engaged to be married right? Maybe I’m missing something, otherwise how did Johnny and Jason (AND THE MILLION OF OTHER INFLUENCERS IN TRAINING) even get on the show #TheBachelorette," questioned a fan.
