LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The legal drama on Apple TV+ titled 'Presumed Innocent' is infused with intriguing premises and star-studded lineup.

This story follows Rusty Sabich (Jake Gyllenhaal), a respectable prosecutor, on a quest to prove his innocence after being accused of murdering his colleague and secret girlfriend, Carolyn Polhemus (Renate Reinsve).

The creative brainchild of David E Kelley, the series also showed the other side of the coin, with Rusty's family, particularly his wife Barbara Sabich (Ruth Negga), supporting him despite the fact that the man lied and cheated on her, even getting the other woman pregnant.

However, as the series enters its third episode, it becomes clear that Barbara wants to let her guard down so that she can too breathe a little.

Barbara, as established from the first episode itself, is always seen supporting her husband, despite being cheated on several times.

Though her intentions are clear behind this, as she wants to keep her family together, the most recent episode suggests that there may be a new development on her end, which will force Rusty to taste his own medicine.

After being harassed by the media and asked to take a break from her work, the upset Barbara is seen drinking her sorrows away in a bar, where she converses with a bartender.

Barbara tells him about her life problems, which the unnamed barman listened to without any judgement. He expressed his regret for Barbara, and the sexual tension between the two was evident throughout the conversation.

Later, she discusses her banter with Lorraine Horgan (Elizabeth Marvel) and expresses that she did find the barman attractive, to which Lorraine advises her to pursue him further, but Barbara refuses due to the circumstances of his family's current situation.

Lorraine reminds her to let things go because Rusty isn't the man she fell in love with, sending a poigent reminder to Barbara that maybe its time to think about her own happiness.

Now, it is possible that Barbara may initiate an affair with the bartender in order to find comfort since life has been too difficult for her lately. Despite the fact that she didn't have time to process her husband's infidelity as it quickly became public knowledge, she kept her cool for the sake of her children.

Furthermore, her emotional vulnerability and willingness to confide in another man suggest a potential shift in her feelings and priorities.

Her affair, on the other hand, may cause turmoil in her family life, resulting in a breakdown and instability.

Despite Rusty's infidelity, Barbara remains committed to their marriage for the sake of their family but her indiscretion may cause Rusty to feel betrayed and hurt.

Overall, Barbara's decision to have an affair could have serious consequences for her marriage and family, potentially causing irreversible harm to their relationships and sense of security but given the way Rusty has treated her, it's high time she comes out of her shell and prioritizes her own happiness.
