'Power' Season 6 set up for epic battle between Tommy and Ghost, whose side are you on?
'Power' season 6 is going to be all about Tommy vs Ghost, with both of finally learning a very important lesson about double-crossing – no one wins.
‘Power’ recently aired its season 5 finale on Sunday, if you’re a fan then you’re already suffering from withdrawal, but have more likely developed a nail-biting disorder. Either way, we’ve got your fix. You want to know what is going to happen to Ghost (portrayed by Omari Hardwick) and Tommy (Joseph Sikora) now that war has been declared. But first, you’re going to have to pick your team.
Before the fifth season aired, series creator Courtney A Kemp teased that "no-one" would be safe this year, and the deaths of Angela, Kanan (portrayed by 50 Cent) and Teresi (William Sadler) proved just that. And, now, there is no turning back for the old BFFs.
Season 6 is going to be all about Tommy vs Ghost, with both of them finally learning a very important lesson about double-crossing – no one wins. From the looks of it, ‘Power’ is going to end with both men, but mostly Ghost, losing everything they hold close to their hearts.
For Ghost, Angela’s (portrayed by Lela Loren) death is a reminder of everything he did wrong. Had he trusted the love of his life, he would not have taken her to the school. By bringing her, he indirectly put her harm’s way – well, death’s way.
Tommy knows which road he wants to go down; having made it clear to Ghost (after shooting the bullet that pierced Angela) that he does not care for his former partner. The cold rage and need for revenge made us believe that he will possibly join Tariq (portrayed by Michael Rainey Jr.) and they can start their own “I’ve been wronged by Ghost” club.
The one person who is going to benefit abundantly from this drift is Andre "Nine Lives" Coleman (portrayed by Rotimi Akinosho), who apparently is as skilled in combat as John Wick and Jason Bourne combined! He will become the most dangerous man in the lives of Tommy and Ghost, and they better watch their backs at all times.
That being said a war is coming, and it is going to be between Tommy and Ghost. And, while we are used to being on either Tommy and Ghost’s side or Kanan and Dre’s side, we are now put in a position to choose between Tommy and Ghost. The man who powered through every adversity to be the king or the man who did everything to keep his friend in power? The man who lost the love of his life or the man who killed his lifelong friend’s woman?
Sides need to be picked, and soon. Well, at least before season 6 premieres, which we are predicting to happen around the beginning of June or July 2019. What we do know for sure is season 6 has been commissioned. Don’t forget to check this space for more updates of ‘Power.'
